Dirty towels - yuck

I'm a massage connoisseur and I go for regular massages with various masseuses, all performed on a proper massage couch. A few months ago I went for a massage and laid face down on the towel covering the massage couch. The massage was performed with perfunctory style, I turned over and the masseuse completed the massage and finished off with an only hand job. All very nice. However a few days later, I started to get an itch 'down there'. Not on the manhood mind, but in the groin area. I'm scrupulously clean and very rarely engage in full sex with escorts, perhaps once a year or so. So I'm pretty sure I didn't get anything from an escort I visited months prior, I got the itch from lying on a dirty towel. Eventually the itchiness cleared up and all was OK a week or so later. I also have had similar occurrences with cold sores on my face, due to laying my face down on a dirty towel. I stopped going to certain places and have not had a problem since.

I now ask the masseuse if all the towel are fresh, I never lie on a pillow unless it is covered by a clean towel. I never put my face in the massage couch 'hole'. Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I've never had a problem since.

So if you guys are getting random itches 'down there' or unexplained rashes or cold sores - next time check the state of the towel(s) you're lying on!!

unclean towels ,bedding in fact any unclean items or facilities used /touched can cause issues for the punter

just depends on how sensitive the persons skin is and how prone they are in catching nasties or having reactions etc to such things really
but unhygienic conditions are never good for obvious reasons

Yes it could be something like that. However, freshly washed towels tend to be crisp, whilst used ones tend to be softer. The best way is for the masseuse to use rolls of paper, I now only visit places that do this, or those that use fresh clean towels. I've not had a problem since then.

Sorry if this is turning in to "good housekeeping " ,  I'm  no dermatology expert,  but does sound more like allergies . Fresh towels are soft if they use the likes of comfort/lenor.  Some of the fragrances are hellish and I've been sent in to a sneezing fit myself .
A good sign is when the place looks like a Chinese laundry , with every available hanging space drying off the constant need for fresh clean towels( though shops/spas likely have dryers).  Personally I don't like the paper stuff that some use on the table.
