Interesting question. The full answer is a little complex and very specific to my personal circumstances.

What I can say is that during my first period of punting circa 2003/2006 I was in a totally different world. Circa 50, recently widowed, very fit and active, with a well paid (albeit stressful) occupation. Punting fulfilled many things back then and I enjoyed it, although in hindsight it became overly prolific.

None of them now apply. I’m much older, retired, limited by a worn out body etc. Also I in a loving (and sexual) relationship again, grandchildren etc.

I fell off the wagon to maybe prove the “once a punter always a punter” cliché for a while in 2019. That may have continued had Covid not happened? I will never know, but having interrupted the relapse, I currently think it unlikely I will resume again?

Unlike the first time it is no longer something of significant importance in my life, but rather just a little bit extra ... so to answer your question I don't really feel the need to find anything to replace it with.

I'm happy for you. It's difficult finding peace in this world and it looks like you may have found it for the time being at least.

Working from home and so generally seeing less of women reduces my appetite.

Usually my punting urge goes down a lot in the summer if women are generally walking around in sandals, although even now there are far too many uggs for my liking. Some day we may see a return to the normal knee-length boot again although I guess this year the restriction of being able to try things on in the shop will reduce the purchase of these as they tend to be more difficult to fit in general.

My highest punting month in the year is normally November, and this year I punted 0 times that month but have done so twice in December both with my regular.. One of those was a totally legal COVID activity as we met outdoor, and she kicked me in a quiet area in the woods. There was no sex on that occasion.

I've noticed of late that even if a punt goes well, sometimes the finale doesn't e.g. a poor quality orgasm which deflates me afterwards.  You can have the best build up to a HE with chebs and DATY but the finale itself just doesn't hit the spot.  The same has happened with WGs sometimes e.g. takes ages to cum and when I do it's underwhelming.

Otherwise having no issues with OH au naturel but HEs and condomed sex aren't cutting it.

Must admit to feeling the same as others here. I think the lockdown has been a [welcome] wakeup call for many in some ways.

I've had one post lockdown punt that I need to review that was more out of boredom than anything else and meh. Can't say I felt like I missed anything.
