I've never gone in a shop wanting FS but have on occasion come out having had it.  In most cases the clock has gone beyond 30 mins and I've got VFM, only a handful of times I've not.  All balances out.

There's also some consolation knowing you may be the first FS customer that day too, especially if earlier in the day.
