So why point out something which is a given anyway? What purpose is served? The service provider was simply thanking the forum member for his review, why the need for him to put an unpleasant slant on it?

Perhaps he was just pointing out the reality of the situation which some people might not have realised/thought about. However, by far his main point was that he appeared to be "white knighting" this parlour and that's a perfectly valid point. It's also perfectly reasonable to question why that is (especially since many parlour, agencies and pimps are clearly not above offering bribes and discounts). It is also rather odd that the parlour owner/staff thanked the OP for his review as that is very unusual (as they don't do it in their many other reviews) and totally unnecessary (on this site) - as well as seemingly going against the rule quoted above by chrishornx, it could even be considered touting (bumping a glowing positive review of their parlour and 4 of it's girls).

This comment is even more spot on! I can't believe I didn't think about that! There are numerous negative reviews on here for girls at this place and they don't bother to comment or apologise on them. A very good recent example is Angelina who has numerous negatives and neutrals and it's been repeatedly pointed out by various punters that there are blatant lies on her profile about the services she offers. Yet there's no response to that nor have they sacked her/taken her off the rota despite the fact that she's clearly damaging their reputation. Bumping threads like this just smacks of "damage limitation".

Yes, I take on board the points made (from Yorkie Yorkie too) , which with hindsight, make perfect sense. I appreciate the fact too that they are made with articulacy, and without the need to use florid, snide and value laden words like "pimpdom" and "leeching".
