With so many girls available, mainly via adult work, that are reviewed on here, to who provide a good or bad service, why take chances picking up girls off the street.

Couple of years ago went down the harbour at night. 2 girls (junkies) , 2 uniformed cops and a unmarked cop car with 2 cops, take your chance mate

Only junkies and drunks operating in the area and being watched/protected by the police. You'd be nuts to even consider either risking getting caught by mr plod or catching whatever these girls have to share.

Use to get sent down the harbour area with my old work place to do jobs on boats and that. Use to give me the creeps when driving there on backshift or nightshift, even in a works van with nobody in sight I hated being in that area. Its just wrong on so many levels.

for years there was a 'tolerance zone' - everyone knew what was going on, police didnt hassle anyone and it was kept in a non-residential area.
With the merger of the police forces and creation of police scotland the tolerance bit was reversed.
When I drive through the area I dont see any girls hanging around at all as the police now actively enforce zero tolerance.
Any girl out there must be really desperate and best avoided.

So sorry the days of £20 BJs are over
Maybe look for the girls on AW doing 15 min

I've passed the area a few times over last few months and have seen girls out, never paid much attention but at a glance they looked rough

The harbour area is basically a residential area, only 1 pub now , where as 10 years ago there was about 10, I'd imagine the residents are the reason the police now deter hooking

Offline DrGFreeman

I disagree
regent quay is now more residential than it was
but the girls hung around the st clements pub - so mostly clarence street and st clements street which is wholly industrial
the law in scotland changed and the formation of police scotland with its glasgow centric zero tolerance policy ended the tolerance zone :

When I lived there a few years ago, there were still girls that hung around the harbour streets and certainly there were more than 2 or 3 pubs nearby and those are just the ones I went to. I couldn't speak for the last 3 years but for the 5 before that while I was there there were plenty of pubs and a fair few girls working the streets on the busier nights. Most looked like junkies though.

I was in the harbour area a couple of nights ago....just avoiding king St traffic ;) I saw 2 on the one street. I would say that one was definitely a junkie and the other looked like a wee shy rabbit caught in the headlights.
Needless to say, I didn't stop to ask for directions!!!

I was unaware that the law had changed so that men can can be criminalised, instead of women. Its typical of the age that we now live in, where thats now the prioriity, and the voices of the WGs are, as usual, ignored. From the OP link.

''It's made it more dangerous for us as well because we're having to hide in alleyways now''
Jane
Prostitute

Her voice does not count though. What matters is that the arsehole Justice Secretary has a good soundbite and sounds so very 2017, regardless of the fact that the WGs feel more vulnerable than they did before. Its all about this fuckwit's slogans. What a total prick.

'' Those men who seek to exploit those vulnerable women must be prosecuted - that is why we make no apology for this legislation.''
Kenny MacAskill
Justice secretary
