Early Closing Thai Massage Parlours on Saturday 28 October

I've been to try two places this evening and both were closing earlier than usual. I thought that it might be for mourning over the funeral ceremony of King Bhumibol Adulyadej but it could also be because the clocks go back and they get an extra hour before going back on shift again tomorrow.

In the case of Siam Massage in Prestwich, they're taking a taxi to party party with the girls at their sister parlour in Liverpool.

If you plan on dropping in anywhere unannounced, it might be worth calling ahead first. EM

Not sure I understand why they would close early. Doesn't the clocks going back mean we all gain an hour (so they could stay open an hour later tonight)?

I actually pondered booking an overnight tonight thinking I'd get an extra hour out of it.

Spot on. Even if the clocks were going forward, if you’re running a business who the hell is going to shut early?

The funeral was on Thursday.  Several shops in Liverpool closed early on Thursday, as the staff were attending a service at the Buddhist Temple in Runcorn. As for the early closing on Saturday, 1 or 2 shops closed early because the staff were having a night out. Not sure  why it warranted a warning post on 2 internet forums, UKP and a banned site in the NW.
