I go to a certain town in West Sussex annually for some work, usually in February and have had some real fun adventures there. I have written a good few good reviews in that region over the years.

Just sitting about reading this afternoon and missus HP pipes up. She wants to come with me that day to visit the art gallery in that town while i am at work. No getting out of it. Sabotaged my plans.

You have my sympathy. My misses went and retired. That totally f***** all kinds of opportunities for me. Now my imagination is stretched to breaking point to figure out excuses to be abroad.

T'other way round for me. The OH travels a fair bit but occasionally cancels her plans, which means I have to cancel my plans..... one of the reasons I've made more on the day bookings of late.

occaionally I have different days off too my OH which is handy if I feel in the mood for a punt however I have learned the hard way to double check her plans as she sometimes decided we should meet up for lunch or swaps her days off at the last minute

so far I have never had to cancel a booking just my plans to make one

I once got in the car to go out and she hopped in the other side! I quickly ran back inside on some excuse and sent the cancellation text.

My sympathies...I hate it when my OH does that to my plans.

Thats a bummer to say the least, I always give the excuse that start work early and finish late when working away so would be no time to meet up, especially as meeting up with work colleges for extended talks over drinks and meals. Always a winner and never has GF asked to come along.
Some time I even ask if she want to, risky, but you get some good points for it

I did tell her my work start time which would mean a 7am departure (truly) and she readily agreed! My punt would have been in the afternoon.

the wife works at her work and I work form home most days, most days I drive her to and from work but I swear anytime I have the itch or plan to contact anyone she either takes the car and im left home alone or she will out of the blue text me to go home early or meet up for lunch. which spoils the plans.

Having booked a 2 hour party, I was setting off out the door when Mrs T asks 'Where you going?'

Off fishing dear - but she wants to come too. Despite my best efforts to put her off I end up at our local trout lake paying for 4 hours 'Catch & Release' instead of Plan A - 2 hours 'Snatch & Release'.  :scare:
