Emilia Massage Relax Centre (aka: the place under Color and Beauty Salon, Bull Street, Birmingham City Centre)External Link/Members OnlyFinished a day at work earlier this week and thought, why not give this place a try before heading home.
Comms: Initial call was made to the advertised phone number, but it rang through to an answer-phone message in Chinese. I guessed they were busy, so thought I would go for a Plan B somewhere in Chinatown. As I'm heading there though, I receive a callback. I arrange a booking at very short notice (15 minutes time, which was very good as I expected to wait a bit longer), confirm the address and start heading back that way.
Location: Color and Beauty Salon is not difficult to find, being near the corner of Bull Street directly opposite the Square Peg. I was aware from previous reviews on here that to get to the massage place you have to walk through the salon to the stairs right at the back of the salon. Despite being early evening, the salon still had a number of customers having their nails done, and I couldn't shake the feeling that a couple of them threw me some hard stares as I walked to the stairs (I wonder just how much they knew about the place downstairs, or what exactly happens down there). The massage place itself was dimly lit but pleasant enough, with a number of cubicles set up for the massages. However the cubicle walls do not reach all the way to the ceiling, meaning privacy is not 100% guaranteed, as sound would carry from one to the other (and I did hear something going on in another cubicle as I was having my massage) and anyone desperate enough to do so
could peek over the top.
The Masseuse: Wei Wei greeted me on arrival with a big smile. She seemed pleasant enough, petite and slim with glasses that on her looked almost geeky (which I completely dig). She was wearing a white tank top and short skirt which showed a bit of skin but wouldn't be considered indecent. Age wise I would confirm what other reviews have said and put her mid-20s.
The Massage: After paying the initial fee (1hr, £45) I was shown to a cubicle and invited to strip and lie face down on the table before Wei Wei left me to it. The cubicle was small but adequately equipped with a massage table, towel warmer and a side stand with bits and pieces. After a couple of minutes Wei Wei returns as I'm lying down. She asks me if I want a soft, medium or a hard massage and I said medium. On with the oil and off she goes.
The massage itself was on the better side of average, with particular emphasis made on my shoulders, upper back and buttocks (which I hadn't asked for but made the appreciative remarks when she did, to which she giggled). On occasion she would kneel on the side or at the far end of the bed down by my feet, to give me some long strokes up and down my back. After about 20 minutes the CC swipes and teasing tickles between my upper legs became more and more frequent, and it was clear what direction we were going in.
Eventually after what felt like a full day of teasing, she hops off the bed and lean down by my ear to whisper if I wanted B2B. I asked how much, and she said how much do you want to pay me. I didn't want to appear stingy (this being my first visit here) so I offer the rate I had payed at other places - £60. She was more than happy at that, and she began to slip out of her clothes. Summary: The massage with Wei Wei was easily the best I had received to date, as nowhere else has previously delivered an experience like that (B2B elsewhere was pretty lame, involving a little leaning over my bare bod and some mutual touching). I know Wei Wei is a popular girl, but I cannot work out if her remarks about how much she enjoyed my attentions were genuine or just something she says to all her clients. I do intend to go back just for her, but I will be timing my visits to quieter times of the day to avoid unwanted attention from the pretentious ladies having manicures. Indeed if the privacy of the venue was better I would gladly visit every week. Anyone wanting to visit this place who is a bit more self-conscious or who know people who use the salon regularly may want to think twice, but otherwise I would give it a go.
Price paid: £45 1-hour initial massage, £60 B2B with HE & £20 tip. Total: £125. [I'm expecting comments about how I could have paid less but I'm not a haggler by nature]
Value for Money: I would say Yes.
Pros: Good comms, excellent service getting me in at short notice. Nice Lady and overall enjoyable experience.
Cons: Privacy is not brilliant.
