I parked my car a couple of miles from my first punt.
That made me less inclined to change my mind cause of how far I'd walked (as I did a few previous times)

Personally, I'd go for a well respected WG over a parlour for a first punt cause you simply don't know what kind of a punt you'll get from an unknown, not reviewed WG from a parlour.
