Glasgow Sauna memories

Does anybody have memories of the old Glasgow Sauna scene my first punt was at the Blythswood Sauna in Holm Street then it moved and visited the New Blythswood many times. My personal favourite was Oasis a lovely friendly group of ladies worked there. There was also a short lived place called the White House based in a residential bungalow.

aye i spent a kings ransom in these places had some fab times but it was like a drug . it was just the hole day away and relaxing   . would love some thing like it now after a hard week working out side in the cold it was cracking to get a right good shower and steam the a shave then a sauna the a girl . a liked the  Carlton club . but as the end was coming for all these places they just went down hill . till they were just run down so bad you stopped going back and one buy one they all shut down . tryed the adultwork thing but it just not got the full relax thing . and some of the costs a coocoo land stuff .

Lady Godiva's was the first place I visited, that was me hooked, no complications just straight gratification. been round them all and had a load of fun.

Bubbles - quiet and had a hot tub and sauna, the hot tub eventually broke down and was never seen running again, think it run out of money. I very much liked Tropical Palms back in the day. Jill was quite an experience! I was also in the Carlton Club, New Blythswood and also that one which was just off the trongate. Oasis was in a semi derelict building and shut about 20 years ago.

I was also in the 520 club/fantasy sauna  on Victoria Road once and also a venue which was on battlefield road.

I always found flats easier to go in and out of.

Whenever I'm passing newspapers in a shop, if I can inconspicuously place about half a dozen rival papers on top of the Daily Retard, Sunday Mail, or Mirror, then I do it.
