Lads, You need to be aware that if you intend to visit a WG in this complex and intend to park in a VISITORS BAY on site, You will need to obtain a parking permit located just before the entrance barriers and display it on your dashboard. They are free!  Failure to do so will result in a £100 fine reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. Or alternatively park in Morrisons..

But thanks for the heads up P. S
We've had quite a few warnings of late here,  and I suppose it's just a timely reminder to stay safe and out of arms way on every single punt,  I treat it like a co-vert operation and I turn into a shadow of the night,  like the modern day Milk Tray man.
Wherever there's fun to be had there's always some snide that wants to ruin said fun. Fuck safe Fuck Well  :drinks:

Do check if they have any restrictions!

I was in one Morrisons that had a two hour limitation, and worse it was it was controlled by CCTV and number plate recognisation.

So you drove in,

Photo with time stamp taken,
When you leave photo with time stamp taken,
A computer makes the calculation,
If you are over two hours,
A link to the DVLC gives them the address
and a £100 parking fine listing location and times arrives at the registered address.

Same idea at Morrisons in the Bay, though it says "patrolled" and doesn't mention CCTV.

I like the comment that "This is not a Park & Ride facility".  Almost like they know what we're up to

Morrisons down the bay hosts a fleet of europcar cars at the end of the car park near the petrol station. So if you were to get a ticket you could blag it by saying you agreed you'd leave your car with them whilst your rented one of theirs for the afternoon..

Or you could say you had a catch up with some old friends over a bite to eat in the cafe then went shopping..

Besides, there's plenty of other places to park down there anyway

It's not so much the fine that will bother some.

It's if an other half finds it first and queries what they were up to in Morissons for oer two hours!

If you are happy for a 5/10 minute walk there are a number of unrestricted parking options in the immediate area.  There is also a footpath along the Asda/Aldi side of the flyover/dual carriageway which circles round back under the flyover so you are approaching the 'Place' from the Bay side.  Parked near the leisure centre and even Clarence Road bridge in the past and followed the footpath along the river down. Weather permitting, of course.  Footpaths in that area can easily been seen gmaps.

Visited Morrisons yesterday!

Parking is for three hours with CCTV monitoring.  Picture is above a Disabled Bay but restrictions are the same for all of the carpark.
