As far as I know, a bit of mouth wash wont do anything about an infection, if she had it, anyway.  This time of year you could have got it anywhere.  Or you could have got it from her, but nothing really to do with mouthwash or not.

I mean it will kill some bacteria for sure. But as you stated, I suspect its just something going around. Perhaps winter punting is much more risky in terms of seasonal disease contractions. This might explain why every fucker in work has something.

I've had this paranoia after two recent punts and similar symptoms to OP. But then half my mates came down with it.

Seems pretty bad in London this year.

Having caught oral gonorrhoea before that sore throat would ring an alarm bell with me. Get down to the gum clinic asap and get checked out.
