Author Topic: Warning - Lift keycards  (Read 4336 times)

I recently saw a lady at a budget hotel very close to Aldgate (no names, but you know which hotel). When I arrived, and called to get the room number, I was told that the hotel had recently put keycard readers in the lift and I'd have to get in with another guest if I wanted to see the lady.

luckily I managed to time it just right, but I probably won't be returning there anytime soon, as the shagging bit of Bond is great but I could do with out the spy style part.

She wouldn't come and meet you? I'd have walked

Offline what-a man

I have also noticed most hotels are now installing keycard readers in their lifts

Agreed. We're all well aware that key cards can be a problem but it should be their problem to sort not ours. There's no way in hell I'd try and sneak up with another guest, if she wouldn't come down, the. like you I'd walk

Yes, if the access to her Incall is difficult then she should make arrangements, like meet you at the lift, the bar, or in a coffee shop nearby, if the hotel staff are suspicious

I guess some of the girls, like us, might be caught unawares by this first time out.  Looks like that budget chain is going to lose out on some business.

I probably should of but I wasn't thinking straight at the time, if you know what I mean

When I got up to the room, the girl in question claimed that this was her first time there since the keycard installation and wouldn't be returning there so I won't drop her in it by naming her (unless she does return there anytime soon).

So true about the lose of business, I was planning on seeing Kacie Clark in Aldgate today, but she cancelled her trip to London when she found out about the lift keycards.

Yes, we can get caught unaware and some hotels may be getting an uplift in trade and others missing out  :D

Indeed, to walk or not to walk. Most punters don't need the hassle of creeping around.

Some W/G back to back, so to much scramble around, between punters may no allow that 5+ mins that need to get down and up

Hotels can be busy places with people coming and going. But not all the staff have stuff to do, also if she seen meeting different men often.
It may be easy to spot and some hotels will turn a blind eye others mite not!

I was chatting to Dee about this recently and she mentioned that one of the major prossie hotels is now key-card only, ie the one referred to here....and it's becoming a problem for WG's, hence why I think she tries to find that very small number still with punter-freedom as it were. Personally, find it a pain in the arse not having an option to goto a room directly, but suppose you can understand the hotel's view. Luckily, there is one hotel I always use which has easy access still..thank fuck!

I suppose it's the closest they can come within an everyday budget to an anti-terrorism measure. Whatever the reason it's a real shame :(

But if you were actually staying in the hotel yourself, for business or pleasure, you might actually be thankful that the lifts are secured in this way. I know I would rather it were difficult for every two-bit thief in London to be able to access my room.

This is one inconvenience for punters that I can live with I think. But then I personally don't often see girls working from hotels.

Bollocks - that was a great hotel for City workers.

Never really fancied the place. As if you sit in reception for a while you can see the influx of punters. True bullocks for the city boys.

Or watch the newbies standing outside phone in hand and then march in on the half hour (I should know - I was one of them once!). Of course they could just be texting friends. Sure. Like I was.

I hear that a popular Canary Wharf hotel is now monitoring AW profiles - no cards required for lifts but they are refusing check-ins if they identify girls on AW. Strongly suspect that there's been infighting here. This somewhat dated, "tired" hotel may well rethink its position when a very large, modern and reasonably priced hotel from a much larger chain opens literally across the road in a few months time!  :hi:

Would you care to elaborate a little? Infighting between hotels? Girls? Sergei?

They used to have the keycard in the lift, but have now removed them, but have placed them on each of the floors

I briefly checked for cctv, and couldn't see any, so in this case all the escort has to do, is come out of here room and let you in

Never really a problem. Most hotels incorporate for thefts and random drunken opportunists/undesirables roaming around. Actually I prefer staying in a hotel that has them.

I've been on both sides of the equation. Times when I have booked outcall to my hotel and just asked girl to come straight up if she can follow someone up in in lift. Never been a problem except on the odd occasion late at night when foot traffic is low so nobody using the lifts. As did not want to come down as other colleagues were in hotel and could been at bar etc, just came outside - meet her across road shop, corner etc and give her a spare key card (you can always request 2) and asked her come in about 5 mins. That way not together and always never a problem.

Equally visited girls in hotels but usually in day/evening so easy just walk in lift behind someone. Not a big deal. Also I'd probably not want to meet the girl at lifts or walk in together as if she is doing that daily with many people although general staff may not notice the guys watching CCTV security each day will pick up and would not fancy someone banging on door disrupting our session asking her guest to leave etc. Easiest thing for a girl if she did need come down is just leave a card somewhere for him to pick up and come up himself if lifts were not in use.

Sensible advice but I sometimes question whether some girls make things difficult when English isn't their first language

I did say I wouldn't name the girl originally, but I see that Chloe is back at the Ibis, so much for giving her the benefit of the doubt, I emailed her today and she said the keycard wasn't that much of an issue and I could just wait in the bar till someone else went for the lift and I could follow them up.

what a piss taker!

To be fair, looking at her profile pics (if accurate) I would just follow someone into the lift as she looks worth it.

She provides a good service, but she looks a lot different to her photos (as mentioned in other reviews).

Should I bother writing up a review, now I know she knew about the lift all along?

Not sure what other hotels exist in the immediate vicinity for one to have to clarify.... clearly I've not been around enough, especially not to the WGs who are willing to go sub 3 star on accommodation!
