I have not met a Prossie that actually apologizes for a bad meeting even by my punting standards I would have called it a Neutral, not a Negative. I do not think there was actually a lot wrong with the meeting I think I just expected it to be one of my best ever punts and when it was not, I remained disappointed. Still, can't choose who you have chemistry with, who you don't. I probably won't go back to her anytime soon but she at least made me think about it.
No worries, and not having a go at your review in particular. Just drawing attention to what I think is at issue. If you went to Kwik Fit, got a shit repair and crashed, it wouldn't make it a 'good' repair if they phoned you up and apologised. It might mean their after-sales patter was quite nice if you like but the actual service when you were there was poor.
You expected a brand new spanking whatever, and got a badly refurbished one or whatever and it wasn't the worst imagineable but considering their prices it was a piece of shit. The same with prossies. If I pay a fiver, as I have often done abroad, I still think good, bad or neutral but have lower expectations than if I'm paying £120 an hour (as I would with car repairs, hotels, restaurant meals). If the local chippie gives me re-heated cod I won't care too much if I'm hungry, but if Gordon Ramsay gives me the same and it isn't bloody brilliant then I would think he's a shit. These aren't street whores, they are charging serious money.
The reason I think this is important, whether or not that particular prossie was sincere (which I think is dubious, however convincing she sounded) is that prossies will feel they can get away with poor service just by apologising afterwards and quite a few do. They'll even go as far as offering a freebie 'to make up for it' but of course the freebie never materialises.
Fluffy reviews do tend to lead to false expectations. I've been short-serviced by a Romanian who a reviewer on here (now banned) claimed at length was "not like other Romanians." (She was actually nice looking, polite, and ... shit service.) Prossies will do anything they can rather than do a decent job.
