I will be spending a couple of weeks on Crete during the summer, based in Rethimno.
Does anyone have any information on WG's or clubs in that area?

There are a few places in Chania, probably due to the naval base in Souda Bay. It's about 1-1.5 hour away from Rethymnon on the bus but it's a nice day out with plenty to see so even if you don't find anything you still have a nice trip. Best thing to do is probably ask a taxi driver.
