abit harsh on a newbie - he is asking a punting related question, I assume, as to whether the WG can come up to the room.

however I have no idea.

A tad. Didn't get my punt today :( But like you point out, it's not clear what info he wants and basically people need to spell it out more and not expect people to do all the thinking for them.

That said, welcome, Fruit, we're a friendly bunch honest ;)

Thanks for the welcome.....basically I wanna know if a wg will (a) need a swipe card to get past the front door after a certain time in the evening and (b) will the staff give the wg 20 questions...who you seeing, what room etc.?  Any help would be much appreciated.

You could always go down to meet them outside. Then you can bring them in unquestioned.

No idea re swipes. I've had outcalls to my hotel, and understand your nerves, particularly if work is paying the hotel and you want no fuss. I posted about this myself recently (https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=69079.msg877328#msg877328)

In the past I had one problem with reception and had to go down to explain; about 10 other times it was hassle free. A safe bet is to go down to meet her and escort her in.

There's no problem at the Ibis I can assure you. Staff don't give a flyin' fuck either....why should they, they don't own the place !

:)  thanks for the reassurance.... Was kinda regretting not choosing my usual... Pretty sure I could do the deed on the reception desk at my usual and they wouldn't care :D

I have started doing this after comment on here - works well.

Lift and stairs have swipe yes. It's a small and discrete hotel given its in city centre. There's a small bar in receptio  Staff give zero fucks.
