Had a spur of the moment feeling to punt, and I'd only ever been to walk ups before but I couldn't be bothered to sneak into one today so I called this girl on the day and arranged a time (one hour booking), she sounded like she wasn't even listening to me talking but I offered a time and she said that's ok.

I undercooked the time it would take me on the tube and I was running a tiny bit late as I only got to the station 5-10 mins before the meet so I rang to tell her and she sounded like she wasn't listening again and said "oh I forgot about you, it's been crazy today" (????). She texted me the address, not too far from the station and I made my way.

A 15 min walk later, I get to the road and call her, she tries to blame me for saying I'll be 10 mins late and says she's busy now and I should wait 30 mins?  :sarcastic: Bear in mind this is only 10 mins after my initial booking time and she's already with another punter. So I just assumed she double booked and told her to forget it.

Numpty.

Ironically it was good reviews on here that made me want to see her in the first place as she doesn't stand out to me personally. I will add that she wasn't rude or anything but it was just overall a poor/sloppy way to handle the situation so I'll avoid her in future personally.

Now, I have no axe to grind as it is highly unlikely I'll ever see this girl as I don't frequent that area, but......

Do you not normally get yourself "in position" 15 mins early? Then if you get fucked about I'd commiserate with you. But moving along late.... An alternative explanation could be she didn't think you would appear and had a short notice opportunity.....

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail and all that....is where a punt is different to a walk up

So she forgot his booking and then knowing he would be a few minutes late took another booking. I can't see how the OP can be to blame. OK, he was late, but he seems to have communicated this and she was by her own admission rather disorganised.

I actually agree.

I wouldn't have even posted about this at all if she didn't tell me it was ok I was at the station (5 mins before booked time) and that I should still come, but somehow on my walk from the station she suddenly became busy for 30 mins?
