Have a business trip to London in a couple of weeks and plan to enjoy it! I've been looking at strip clubs around Shoreditch area, I would usually head straight for The Horn but have the evening also this visit. I'm intrigued by 23 Paul Street, anyone have experience of it?

I agree that it looks like a place for poseurs to go and part with a lot of money for little in return. I visit the area regularly but have never been down Paul Street. Not about to TOFTT but would be interested to hear from anyone that does.

I've spent quite a few nights in the shorditch area and would recommend "the sports bar" on shorditch high street opposite tesco express.  It's similar to the horns but with a lot more girls to choose from.

I had no idea this place was a strip club! I walked past with the missus a few days ago and saw the security guy at the door dressed like Sherlock Holmes and thought it was a vintage cocktail bar or something!

A previous name for 23 Paul Street is/was Platinum Bar.

I remember the platinum bar! When I was quite new to "adult entertainment" I got talking to a sweet girl who called herself Louise and she was happy to chat for ages before I took her for a private dance. The pd area was upstairs and she was wearing a long clingy evening gown that showed her bum off beautifully. I remember thinking it was worth the price of the dance just to follow that bum up the stairs. All seems pretty tame these days though.

The absence of any useful information on their website, and the presence of a lot of spin makes me immediately agree with the other comments on here. Having said that, there are a lot of bright young things in the Shoreditch area who think stripping is a laugh, as long as it's called burlesque and you're called Lucinda instead of Kylie. Personally, if I wanted to pay to watch women stripping, I'd rather go to any of the plentiful other such places around EC2 and E2, where at least the pound-in-the-jar deal is honest and straightforward.
