Hi I have just been on Bangkok Addicts and one post suggests supported by others, you need a budget of 10,000B a day, is this right? I'm thinking of visiting soon! Thanks

10k a day to include what? Is that hotel costs plus food drinks tourism etc and punting or just for punting?

And what do you want to do - one girl a day ? Plus massage etc? So it really is “it depends “

Fwiw- when I am in Bangkok or Pattaya come to that - I allow approx 10k per day as a ball park figure for everything except hotel costs!   Some days I might be below that, other days I will exceed that! Money goes further in Pattaya of course!

There are previous threads where guys have said they did Pattaya for about 2500 per day ( punting and food and drinks etc so clearly you can do it for less than I spend - but equally there are guys who spend considerably more! But as a ball park figure guide, it’s not a bad figure to roll with!

I think that's reasonable if you eat western food, like to drink and bf nana girls. But you could do half that easily.

Depends, obviously if you are looking to take GoGo girls then the prices will be much higher, but if you are taking bar girls, gents clubs, bj bar or massage shop girls its much more reasonable. In most cases you can have short time with a girl from anywhere between 1-3000 baht, so it really depends on how many sessions you are planning per day.

Where in Bangkok can you get a half decent girl for 1000? In my experience even street freelancers are 2000 or more!
But as we have said, it does depend on your activity- but remember if you only get one girl for short time , what else are you doing in the day and evening- tourist stuff costs money etc

Op - yes you can do it for less particularly if you are younger ( not an oldie) but if it’s your first time in Bangkok, then you want to do some tourist stuff as well as some punting stuff so imo, allow a minimum on 5k per day and as previously said, a 10k per day budget allows you to have non stop fun!
I would add that if you are there for more than just a couple of days , then think about going to Pattaya- it’s only 2-2.5 hours taxi away (c1500baht) and the fun and prices there is a lot better!

It depends on what you want. I am   there for the 5th or 6th time. If you are young and want 3 or 4 top class punts a day and a 5 star hotel with trimmings maybe you could. But my decent hotel that is girl friendly on sukhumvit 8 is £25 a night. A high qualitymassage place is about £75 a go but if you are not picky or using TF well £50 a punt. A blowjob bar £20. If you want cheaper take bus to Pattaya and it is a lot cheaper

If you really are wanting a bargain go to Pattaya. I hate the place but I am irresistibly drawn to it but I can only take 3 nights in a row. I have just done that. First girl I picked from beach road was a 1000 baht , she was cute and we had very passionate sex. Last night I went to one of the blow job bars and had great oral for 800. Tonight I decided to abstain as I am 75 and want to have fun in Bangkok. But if I was young, with no recovery time needed Pattaya would be heaven for peanuts

Exhippy how rough is it compared to the like of Bangkok, hua hin or Phuket? I’m contemplating a visit but it’s a really mixed bag of folk hating the place and loving it ?

 Zerto- I don’t consider Pattaya as “rough” at all! I have been 5 or 6 times in the last 4 years- the last time was March/April this year! I have never felt unsafe there at all - however probably 90% of people going to Pattaya, go for the same one reason!
If you compare it to say the sukhumvit road in Bangkok, Soi cowboy and Nana are about equivalent to Soi) and walking street in Pattaya and the area in between ( ie the sukhumvit road and alleys off) - would you describe them as “rough”? If Soi 6 or walking street are too “full on” for you , don’t go thrrr - there are just loads of options in Pattaya!
I find Pattaya quite friendly but it only has a few “tourists “ things to do - hence why there is so much focus on girls and sex stuff! And there is just so much of that.
And of course, Pattaya is much more budget friendly than either Bangkok or Phuket! It’s only 2 hours in a taxi from
Bangkok! Because I fly into and out of Bangkok from the uk, I have a few days in Bangkok before going elsewhere ( now usually Pattaya) and a few days back in Bangkok on the way home,  This seems to work well for me!
