Threatening texts

I've had one of those threatening text messages. It was the usual claptrap about supposedly booking an escort and not following through and I owe them some money. Now I've had a couple of these before  but the worry here is that they knew my name!

Anyone else had one like that?

Touch wood never had one,however,I did have one of those threatening e mails " sextortion" I think they are called,said I had to pay 2000 bitcoin,as they said they had put a virus in my phone,and had seen me masturbating,to pictures and videos and they were going to send  to everybody in my phone contacts etc if I did not pay!!!

Yes I know all about them but as I said they knew my first name and surname which is a bit of a worry. And I have an uncommon name so it's not like they could of guessed it. Ironically I've hardly punted in the past six months due to health issues and when I have it's always been with the same girl (who admittedly does know my real name).

If so, then do you have a voicemail greeting saying your name?

Depending on your phone and settings it can display your name in either WhatsApp or Text messages.

Big mistake, I did that when I started around 6/7 years ago. Luckily no one ever tried that with me,
I have a burner phone bought off temu strictly for this business. No trace of me whatsoever on that phone plus I don’t bank transfer no more. Even if I don’t have cash I rather drive another 30 mins for cash or just go home rather transfer because you can’t trust these people.

When I had one of these texts I asked him if his dick reached his arse and if so go and fuck yourself, I've not heard from him since so I presume that he's still enjoying himself.

I think it's the fact my settings on my phone meant some text messages showed my name so I've changed my settings and blocked the tosser who texted me.

I’ve had loads. I just tell them to come and pick it up. I don’t have random outcalls to my house for that reason
