Before it became apartments , the Park used to be a cut above the rest of the hotels in Croydon and there were night clubs like Scarlets and the Rendezvous. I think for a place to work, it needs to be near local transport. It's well served by rail, tram, taxis. Used by a lot of businessmen. Nowadays, there are lots of smaller hotels chains with working girls but no large sprawling bars and anyone out of place will be spotted more easily. If you google there have been reports on the review sites of hotels with working girls.

I imagine now you'd have to go to London or Manchester. I much prefer today's internet method with a menu of likes and the possibility in getting what I want.
