Very strange response imho, it would have been very easy to be clear if you were not the client in question, or indeed if you were. However you chose to answer in a way that sounds like you are trying to deny it but makes you sound very dodgy.

The marks were clearly visible, so intentional or not, you were being rougher than would be acceptable without prior discussion or consent.

She might not have had marks when you left - but not all marks show straight away.   The fact that you're not denying that you scratched and bit her, regardless of whether marks were there or not when you left.
