Hi All,
Well finally made it to Thailand.
After many visits to Morocco I thought I needed a change.
OMG this country is crazy.

Arrived in Bangkok and spent 1 day and 1 night there.
Luckily met up with a mate who was also visiting.
In my opinion the massage places are just okay - there are too many to choose from but not all of them had a good selection of girls.
In the evening + night the street scene is unbelievable.
Did the obligatory visit to Thermae cafe which I found a little overwhelming.  Too many girls to choose from and lots of them were amazing. But the price 3000 Baht seemed quite high for a short time.
Bars and clubs are fun.
Soi Cowboy I'd say don't bother, instead stick to Nana Plaza which was great fun.  Some seriously hot women there.

Moving on to Pattaya I found it an incredible place for fun and nightlife.
The only downside to my trip was wasting money in Honeys soapy massage.
What a rip-off  They don't tell you in advance that the girls don't allow kissing, OWO, RO or bascially anything other than the mechaniical service on offer. I was so pissed off with this joint.
Anyway the bars are clubs were brilliant fun and girls everywhere.
Beach Road can be interesting lots to choose from.  Why do the Asian guys have to hunt in packs?  Must be off putting for the girls.
Walking Street is an experience, as are the Ladyboys.  Not my scene but some of them are very convincing.

Met a couple of decent lasses, one of which met up with me after her bar had closed then came back to my hotel a few nights.

Prices are incredibly cheap for food, accommodation and girls.  I guess this softens the blow of the flights both cost and travel time.

Really can't see myself returning to Morocco anytime soon but will be planning next trip to Thailand.

Fotgot to mention it was bloody hot.

One thing I regret not trying in Pattaya was a nuru nassage in their soapies.
OP, did you find a decent one after the shit one?

Glad you’re enjoying your new found holiday destination, I’ve been doing it on and off twice a year for 20 years, nowhere like it in the world no matter what anyone else tells you.

Wouldn’t bother with the soapies they tend to be overpriced touristy places, far better value to be had in a basic massage place IMO.

Roll on Jan 15th for my 2 month trip.

I'd never waste my money on another soapy place.
Really frustrating.

Far better and cheaper options to be found.

I’m 73 do things a lot different to you younger guys, I’ve got a caddy she comes to my hotel 2 - 3 times a week, I play golf, prefer a massage than a quickie in Soi 6, drink moderately in quiet bar off the main areas, but willing to meet up for a beer when we’re over.

What would you say on the price comparison?

Hi Forum Helpers. Any chance of amalgamating the Thai threads - perhaps split between Bangkok, Pattaya and Elsewhere - perhaps we could then catch up with WSG based on European experiences.

forum helpers can't do that - only Mods can merger threads. We can only amend headings or move the whole thread from one board to another.

A month or two back i tried to get everyone to use only one thread (instead of the 15 or more separate threads on Thailand started or posted on in the last 12 months or so (as per the Gambia thread where its all in one thread) - and the majority of comment by those that did comment was that they didn't mind or preferred separate threads. Daft in my opinion as info is all over the place but that was the majority view at the time.

Info is not 'all over the place'. The info is pulled together very cleanly in the Punting wiki.  Also, most threads are like reviews and so are the punters experience, not an agreed position. Gambia is now impossible for new people since the nuggets of info are buried between spam 8 pages back.

The style of multiple reviews in separate threads is part of the culture of UKP.  Not sure why you think 'Abroad' should not learn from the main board.

Also, anyone can edit puntingwiki.  If you think any page can be made better, all are welcome to edit.   Maybe create a Gambia page.

that is your opinion and you are of course entitled to it, its not mine! i don't really use the wiki, i read threads.

I was trying to explain to someone else who thinks it would have been better to ...etc - I accepted that on this, my opinion wasn't the majority opinion and was going to leave it there (and will leave it here!)
