   I went to see a woman,in Chard Somerset. Called Terry Anne, i paid £ 80 pounds. For 1 hours,which was not that good. I have seen, Terry Anne before. I though i had lost,some money. When visiting before,but i though it maight have been my fault. This time,when i got home. I found i was £60 pounds missing. So i rang her up,and she said" she had taken it" As she was desperate. She "said if i gave her,my name and address. It would be returned.well as you guess. It did not come,so i was ledt with no option. So i got in touch,with the police. I gave them my side of the story,and she was arrested. But she said she had not. So the police,had to let her go. As it was my word,against hers. So fellow if,you go to Chard. A useful lesson for all.

I only ever take the money I need for a punt as stated on the AW profile based on what I want (if they advertise extras), maybe £10 extra.

If they turn around and start asking for more, simple, not the price stated on profile hence what I am prepared to pay so I walk.

Sorry to hear about this utter thieving scumbag but well done for going to the police. Even though they arent going to do anything more this time if another guy reports the same they might, plus the police turning up might, just might of scared her enough not to risk doing it again. Time will tell on that. Also well done on naming and shaming her, low life scum deserve to be named and shamed.

NEVER give your address to a WG is my advice under any circumstances, i havent in nearly 30 years of punting, that would be a big security risk and only carry on you the money you need for the punt and as few valuables as you can, especially with newbies to you.

1st post and it is accusing somebody of stealing. Why would she admit to taking it, then why on earth would you give your home address to somebody who had just stolen from you and actually expect she would return the money to you.

I'm sceptical.

Could be as innocent as someone who joined and lurks in the background just reading posts for advice but had a bad experience and decided to do the sensible thing as a member and inform everyone. Could be you're right to be sceptical I'm sure if genuine, the poster will be back to comment further.

ive committed untold stupidity over the years but at least im honest about it, and now am a member of UKP i manage to restrict punting to about once every 3 months

Sorry to hear your bad experience with TerryAnne.  I visited her once, thought she was great.  Would like to see her again but she doesn't seem to be working.  I think she went back to her abusive addict ex.

Take her to court then, you can file in the small claimns court and it won't cost you much and if it's true when you win she will pay your costs anyway, that way she would have a CCJ against her name to warn others (Landlords, Banks etc)

How awful! What is the point in taking £60 I mean if she hadn't and had been good you possibly would have seen her again. Or at least she wouldnt have got a bad rep which will affect her business. at Least other people know now I guess, but how awful!

Hmm can you take it to small claims and win when the police have had no success tbh I think unless you have a text/written communications that prove that she admitted taking the money you would be very hard pushed to get it back that way!

only take the amount of cash you want to spent in to the meeting leave the rest in the car and phone etc is the best way ,
whats not there cant be lost /dropped /or taken
its a world of unknowns in punting !
