I was watching
External Link/Members Only (a recent Chetna vid) because I fancy the pants off her, like her 30 minute book, and have tried a few other recipes from the vids: all bangers. The food in the vid looks excellent - I wish I was closer.
Anyway - the lady she interviews talks about 'supper clubs' and my understanding is that these are a somewhat 'underground' dining experience typically unlicensed, unregulated, and uninspected. So perhaps not entirely off-piste for us.
Fairly locally there is one in Bedford advertising 'Supper Club' but its effectively Chefs' Table in The Pavillion and just timed bookings. Also suspiciously cheap.
Has anyone tried anything like this? Any intel of dodgy websites that are used to spread the word?
Not looking to use for entertaining SB or looking for friends from other customers - I'm just a bit of a foodie.
