An unexpected up side, and unrelated (hope the mods appreciate the humour), there was a cracking little pie & mash shop nearby and I opted for a post fuck 2 and 2 drowned in liquor.
It’s an old school pie and mash with wooden benches, bit on the bijoux side, but worth your time if you like the grub.
Pies had great crispy texture and were tasty. The mash was just right and served with an ice cream scoop. The liquor was a nice medium turning on dark green, it was also quite hot and wet, which worked for me as it kept the food hot (I feel pie and mash can lose temperature quickly) and as I have an asbestos mouth and like my food borderline scalding hot I was happy. I still demolished it in about 10 mins.
Strong positive for the pie & mash and I’ll returning there for another helping for sure, might see if I can tie it in with a punt.
