In the realm of the web, where secrets may hide,
A forum emerged, on which many confide.
Ukpunting, they called it, a place to discuss,
Experiences shared, without making a fuss.

In the world's oldest profession, tales unfold,
Where providers and seekers, their stories are told.
With candor and candor, they openly share,
Their journeys of pleasure, with those who dare.

Reviews are posted, with details so precise,
Guiding the curious, seeking advice.
But respect is the rule, they must always mind,
In this online haven, where thoughts intertwine.

For safety and privacy, they all understand,
The importance of discretion in this open land.
Ukpunting, a space where words freely flow,
In the world of desires, where secrets bestow.

So here in this corner of the virtual domain,
They gather to share, without judgment or disdain.
Ukpunting, a community, unique and vast,
Where honesty thrives, in a world so fast.

I'm not sure it's fully grasped the full and earthy nature of the forum and I couldn't get it to write a review for me, but it's only a matter of time...

I've had partial success getting ChatGPT to re-write reviews,  but more recently it has recognized the content and just cites a policy deviation.   No doubt there will be AI's in the future where you'll be paying for a cam session and it will be entirely AI generated.

Considering it’s getting known as ‘the next big thing’ I’m maybe a bit surprised there hasn’t been more discussion of it.

Some things I’m interested in (if people want to share) …

Do you use it for business, personal or just for fun?

What sort of more serious uses (eg efficiency at home or work) do you find it helps with?

Things it can do safely? (eg avoiding things like summaries of scientific or similar data)? Someone mentioned reviews but it’s a matter of taste whether you do ‘nicely written’ reviews or not (personally I think short facts are most helpful). Recipes for what’s in the fridge might be useful. Love letters to your o/h? Complaints to the gas company? Advertising something, maybe like a dating profile?

Are there real advantages or is it mostly just an add-on for laziness??

There’s a range of apps mostly all using the same open software but varying quite a bit. Favourites? Cost/benefits? External Link/Members Only?

I use ChatGPT both for work and as general interest, and subscribe to version 4.

It is very good at technical documentation, eg comparing two documents and identifying the differences between them.   Also, you know those long e-mail threads you sometimes get at work,  cut and paste into ChatGPT and just ask it - what's going on here?,  it will summarize it for you (and even prepare a response if you want it to).  It sometimes gets things wrong, but if you spot a mistake and tell it - it will usually correct it and refine its answer.

Programming, it seems to be pretty good - if you need to write some code to do something it generally gets it right.  I was interviewing a SW developer and needed some code with some intentional mistakes in, to test them out during the interview.  It was able to give me the code, tell me what was wrong and how it should be put right.  Saves hours.

Creative tasks, actually this is where I am really blown away.  For example in one test (for fun) I fed it the lyrics to "Sultans of Swing" (one of my favourites) and asked it what the song meant - I then asked it to prepare a variant of the song, but based on the tune to "Major General" (from the Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan).  This is what it came up with:

I am the very model of a Sultan of the Swing-a-lore,
From jazz-filled pubs in London town to every Dixie liquor store.
In rain or shine, with my guitar, I play the notes and chords that soar,
With melodies that captivate, they'll never say it's such a bore.

With young boys in their platform shoes, they come around and stand in awe,
Of rhythms deep and solos sweet, we play them without any flaw.
Though rock and roll's their usual jam, our jazzy tunes will drop their jaw,
For in the world of music, jazz’s a style without a single drawback.

I've studied ancient blues and riffs, from BB King to Muddy’s core,
I know the tales of legends old, of days when vinyl was the law.
Yet in this pub, we make our mark, each night a tale, an evermore,
I am the very essence of the Sultan of the Swing-a-lore!

With Harry on the Honky Tonk, and George who's strumming by my side,
Our daytime jobs just fade away, as music takes us on a ride.
So come on down, enjoy the sound, let's swing and sway in music's tide,
For we're the band, the Sultans grand, in jazz and blues, our hearts confide.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Version 5 can do,  and for the upcoming launch of Microsoft Co-Pilot.

MCullen71 - what was your prompt please?

MCullen71 - what was your prompt please?

I used this:

"Using the major-general song,  can you provide lyrics for a sultans of swing inspired song,  but to the rhythm and tune of major-general?"

I had previously uploaded the lyrics and asked it what it thought they meant,  so that context is probably important.

Tried to use it to give replies for a dating app and got met with the policy thing, got the same thing with Google Bard.
