Many Punters still pay deposit and gets scammed. Hope this thread creates the awareness among UKP members and help them make a decision.

Here is another one, she claims that she isn't taking cash due to the pandemic (which you could argue is a smart point)
She is even offering to give free 30 minutes for ever hour paid for.
I offered to pay with my burner Monzo account once I was in the room,
But she will only accept via some app that takes 1 hour to clear money,
I asked what assurances I'd get that she wouldn't just disappear with my cash,
she offered to give HER address to assure me that she wasn't a scammer!

These scammers are prevalent in all dating websites and increasing by the year.

Most common is also the train scam, where they say they are in a nearby city and ask for a deposit to pay for a train ticket to see you. Once they get the deposit they block you.

Never pay a deposit for anything.

Many guys do fall for it, they want to believe.

He sees someone in Edinburgh gives a good account of himself and 90 minutes later arrives at Emma Jane's place 300 miles south worse for drink. I thought superman was good. Some people are so easy to catch out.
