Author Topic: account deactivated.  (Read 1769 times)

so I have had a great punt this evening, a RB to my hotel where I am staying. as soon as she left the door i went to log on to leave some feedback, but my account has been deactivated by site admin.

I have had this profile since 2008, i have over 300 positive feedbacks and now its all gone!

has anybody had this happen? i have appealed it but whats the likelihood of it being re instated? im so annoyed as I genuinely have no idea what I have done or what rules I have supposedly broken!

yes, what a clown! i forgot to make that obvious lol

It may be due to a problem with the email address you registered. AW test it regularly, I think.

I have been registered with the email address and the account since 2008, its my regular BS email account so I do go in it regularly so it hasn't become inactive.

I initially thought it could be your email account being innactive, as this happened to me when I hadn't used mine for 12 months,  but you say you have been using yours, so obviously that's not the reason. AW pick up on certain words when you correspond by email on their site, including mentioning other sites. Maybe this is the reason.

Just set up another one - did you have credits in there?

Have you filled in the contact form to ask them about it?   :unknown:

How would AW know if your email account is still in use unless they emailed it.
I've never had such an email.

Here are a few ideas:-

(1) Could it be the Service Provider who has flagged your account?  Unlikely, as it sounds like you had a great punt, and have no reason to think the SP would do such a thing.
(2) Maybe the SP's account has been hacked, or is controlled by someone who has, for whatever reason, reported you.
(3) Another possibility is that AW think you are colluding with the SP in some way to boost her ratings.
(4) Were there others responding to your RB who took it badly that you didn't choose them? They could report your account.

Yes but AW tend to look at content of messages, what would they report him for? I would contact AW using the contact form.

You get an AW email every time someone contacts you via the AW message/email system, every time your feedback is approved and every time someone leaves you feedback, and probably others as well. Basically, if you use the AW systems you will get emails informing you of stuff. If you don't do any of this, then you probably won't.

Why would he want to do that when he can ask people on here to guess? asking the people who deactivated his account is far too logical.

I get regular email notifications of new members in my area as well as other notifications.

Email addresses can be validated without the need to mail them using email verification tools.
Amongst other things, such validation services are used to clean email lists and prevent bounce emails which reflect on the integrity of the sender.

I immediately filled out the form you patronising ***. My post was just a topic to see if people have had the same issues or similar and their experience in resolution.

Infact when logging in you’re bounced to an appeal form so before asking helpful people such as yourself of their experiences, I filled it in.

Thanks for your input.

Helpful.

Maybe bitter SPs who’s booking I didn’t go for. It couldn’t of been the SP I saw otherwise she would of had to report me 5 minutes before the meet when she was in the carpark.

Although thinking about it, I approved one not through the RB system and she let me down last minute so I approved one through the RB system, maybe it’s pissed AW off for some reason.

No idea, yes I can just start a new one but I was just wondering if people had similar experiences. I’ve been thinking about jacking it in for a while now as the expense and the low talent pool, maybe this is the sign I needed lol

Seems the OP's topic was prophetic.

Would have been useful if you had mentioned that in your opening post :timeout:

He didn't, he didn't even make it clear he was talking about AW let alone say what action he had taken and what reply he got, if any.

There's two ways to contact AW via the help section and you don't need to be logged in to access it, one gets a quicker response than the other. All he said was he had 'appealed' not that he had used the 'contact us' section, which by his subsequent posts he hasn't done.

I got this when I tried to log in today…had had them several times before…

We have temporarily suspended access to your account because your email provider is no longer accepting email at the address you provided.  Having a functioning and accessible email address is a condition of membership.

If you are sure your email address is working, we can send you a new email message to confirm.  To start the email address verification process, click here.

Alternatively, if you have forgotten your email address or know it is no longer working, you can ask us to update your account so you may perform email verification against a new address.  If you would like to do that, click here.

Note: AdultWork.com does not send spam.  Your email address may have become unverified due to you reporting AdultWork.com emails as being spam.  To avoid problems in the future use the 'Email Preferences' page within the 'My Details' area of the Site to manage what emails you receive.

I enter my email address which they send a link to and I can log in to AW again. It’s bullshit though as I receive “new member” emails from AW a few times a week so not sure what they’re on about!

He did!

Well he said he appealed but that only makes sense in context. His poor communication in the first place led to any misunderstanding so there was no need for him to be a dickhead.

Same as Al R, I regularly get the emails and have to verify my account again. It’s a pain in the ass but never been an issue I cannot resolve.
