Girls usually work towards their monetary targets.
They have raised their prices when things slowed down, and they seem to be raising them even further to try to get to the money they want to make at the end of the month, with the diminishing number of clients they have. Business is slow.
It would be better for them to go the opposite direction and lower prices, they would be busier and we collectively, would see them more often, we would spend more money, they would make more money.

Just my take. No proof, no studies or surveys. I'll leave it at that.

There's 1,000's of sexworkers and they all have different goals and different ways of working. It goes from 1-2 punters a week for 3 weeks of the month to as many as they can fit in in a day 7 days a week every week using a sponge on the dodgy week. There's nothing standard in this game.

An escort who only works part time and has a regular job doesn't need targets, whereas ones who rely on it as their sole income will have a different view.

Every time we get a prices thread we get someone who thinks they know how all escorts work and start telling everybody how that is along with telling them what they should do and how they should set their prices.

About the multiple threads about prices, I know it can be annoying to discuss the same topic over and over, but for those who aren't interested, it's quite simple to just ignore the thread.

If I go to my boss for a pay rise, I try to get as much as I can, while he tries to get me to accept as little as possible, without me being so insulted that I quit. It's no different with SP's they need to find a rate where they are as busy as they would like to be, without having to turn away too many people or being too difficult to book that they lose regulars. For some that means putting prices up, so that they can work a little less for the same money and be happier with the work/life/hassle of dealing with enquiries balance. For others it means accepting that you are not in that group and lowering your price until you are making your monetary goal, or getting out and doing something else that will unlkely pay similar money.

What I find disturbing is the amount of new or unknown girls trying to start with prices at £200 and above. I recently noticed a profile with 6 AW feedback and nothing on here. £180/hr + £40 for OWO. Bonnie enough lass but no way I'd be paying that for a complete gamble on what the service would be like. Couldn't even chance a half hour as that would be £100 + £40.

IMHO these sort of rates are for Hot mid- late twenties ladies with a track record of great service.

That's the disturbing thing for me too. Paying a 19-25 year old £250 for an hour's session seems bonkers; lacks reviews, undoubtedly has a lack of experience and usually, in my exp, has a shit attitude. Not worth the risk.

I think the key thing is what another poster mentioned: the dramatic price increase and the complete lack of new talent! I've been looking for the past few weeks and I just see the same old faces from years ago. At these prices, I would've thought that se women would be chomping at the bit to make some dosh (not that I know their cut, but it's probably not meagre!). Maybe, we'll have to sit tight while the cost of living kicks in a bit more and then we can see more talent coming through and hopefully price decreases.

 Also, finding an attractive (British) woman with some good reviews for a reasonable price is like finding a needle in a haystack. I wouldn't mind actually paying these prices (£180+) for attractive looking women, who are able to actually entertain their clients and provide a very good experience, but nearly all of my exps have have not ascribed to the aforementioned... Some p&ds, some barely above p&d status...
