Haven’t made any posts for a long time, but simply have to post my experience from Pink Peony this afternoon.
I have been at PP many times before, and it has always been an average. Reason for returning has been that I knew what I would get. Normally a B2B and £80 poorer :-)
A couple of days ago I received a text message from the new manager, telling me that a new girl was working there, and today was a good time for me.
Went in, and was shown a room by the manager. She was also the one that would provide the massage.
Stripped down and crawled on the bed, all good.
A couple of minutes later the masseuse came in the room, closed the door, but kept on chatting with her colleague that was outside.
If you want a one hand massage on the same spot on your shoulder, Pink Peony is the place !!!!
The masseuse kept on rubbing the same spot on my shoulder with one hand, while her other hand was busy with the phone that kept on beeping.
At the same time a lot of chatting went on with the colleague outside the room.
The masseuse left the room 3 times, to answer the door, and on the third time, I gave up, and started to get dressed.
She came back and started to apologise, explaining she was the manager and had to keep her business running.
I kept on getting dressed and left the place after maximum 20 minutes. I had paid for a full hour, but did not ask for any money back.
I do understand that the people that work at these places have to plan their day “on the go”, but I have to admit that when I pay for 1 hour, I expect to receive the attention of the masseuse for 1 hour, not to be disturbed by phones and a doorbell.
Yes, I would have accepted if she had to leave the room one time, yes I would have accepted if she had to reply the next costumer with a text message. But I don’t accept that it take more than half the time I have booked.
As I started with explaining, I have had some average experiences at PP, but today was my last visit there

Good for you for walking, think we all agree the distractions are unavoidable some times but do distract from getting a decent massage. The constant being in the phone is a massive no no for me.
