Don't be bashful,  judging by the area you punt would it be any of the following  , Barnet,  Dagenham & Redbridge,    Enfield perhaps  :unknown:

Well at least KT won’t be replying on here regarding any teams below premiership he don’t know teams from outside the premiership,he’d struggle to name teams in the championship let alone few leagues down.

Seeing that i travel into central london mostly to punt my team could also be Southend united, boreham wood or bromley. But my team is dagenham & Redbridge.   ;)

£4.75 which is half price, not sure how many people will be interested at £4.75 let alone the full £9.50  :unknown:

Can't remember how much ITV digital wanted about 20 years ago to watch Championship games but it was about a tenner and no fucker was interested.
When they went bust it was calculated that it would have been cheaper to have bussed all the subscribers to the games; paid for them to get in and paid for an overnight hotel then bussed them back home again the next day (or some similar package)

The only thing of value was the monkey which PG tips bought  :sarcastic:

non league football seems more real to me. the fans are more passionate about the club. there's more of a community with non league football.   In recent years non-league football has gained more interest in this country. We have the greatest football league structure in the world.

I agree with you there. I will be willing to pay no more than £5 for a match day pass when my team is away (especially during the cold winter months when it is warmer just to stay in doors with a hot drink and watch the game)  But I won't be willing to pay just under £10 for a day pass.

saw my team win their cup twice at Wembley coming from behind both times to win 2:1

The two cups were 56 years apart and yes the passion is so much greater than the nobs supporting the prima donnas of the premiership

You only have to see how far clubs like Forest Green Rovers and Burton Albion have progressed in recent years

There's a limit to how big they can get though as the fan base will always limit how much revenue they can bring in.

We have AFC Fylde about 8 miles down the road from Blackpool who have done well and are now in the Conference league North, the aim is to get into the 4th flight.
Quite a few Blackpool fans started watching them when we had all the "Oyston Out" protests going on as they refused to pay any more money to Blackpool and make Oyston even richer
Brand new stadium and decent facilities that most Div 2 clubs would envy but still only attendances of about 1000, the stadium was built by some guy who had tried to buy Blackpool but got turned down by Oyston however it's part of a retail park and I believe is possibly funded by some of the profits from it

Not able to watch Holland last night. I popped onto the BBC Sport site to check the scores.

Out of nowhere a pop up appeared with 3 clickable options, the only one I read was " do you have a TV license" clicked it and got the match streamed live to my laptop .

absolutely  :hi:

i can't stand fans picking their team at a young age on the basis of who is playing the better football at the time. Why would a southerner support Manchester united in the first place? Man Utd have one billion twitter followers and not all of them cant be from the same freking country let alone the same city as the club they are supporting.

Where do you get the one billion from.

All teams have supporters born in different parts of the UK and all over the world. Some travel hundreds of miles to watch and support their chosen side. Thought you would have known this

Coventry city even have an Oslo supporters club branch. ( probably only has half a dozen members mind   :D and a London supporters club branch , probably made up of ex Coventrians now living in London  :unknown:) Can understand Puntingking's reasoning though. When Man Utd were the top dogs in the Premier league,  Coventry was full of kids wearing Man Utd shirts then it was Chelsea when they were top dogs.

I do but just don't understand how somebody could support a club that they weren't born in the city or town of that club or they live near thay club. I used to know a guy who is from London and is British and he supported Barcelona. The funny thing is he never got round to ever seeing them play live. How could he support them really.

For me, a true supporter is someone who grew up in the area of the team that they support regardless what league position they are in but they support them with a badge of honor because that is their local club.
You wouldnt find a english man dont support our national team and instead supports France, Germany or Spain. It just wouldnt happen.

It turns out that man United have 35 million followers on twitter and not 1 billion so I was clearly wrong with that. Then again the amount of people that left twitter of late I could've been right a week or 2 ago.  :sarcastic:

I grew up in a town where the local club was probably in the 10th flight or thereabouts, while some kids did go along and watch them on a Saturday afternoon they also officially supported one of the big clubs.
Typically Liverpool or Man Utd but there was also a smattering of Chelsea; Arsenal; Leeds etc if they were old enough to have been around at the end of their success in the 60's / 70's or seemingly if they really got into football the year a club won the FA cup

Try living in Ireland, , everyone has a favourite UK team, Leeds are surprisingly popular amongst them, but for those that actively support, the Manchester and London clubs are the usual, along with Liverpool simply because of ease of access.

Not the KT would ever do it, but probably easier to get from Ireland to Manchester than it is from his London Hostel

Just give it a few years. During the last world cup a teacher I knew was horrified to find some of his pupils following Argentina, Portugal or Egypt. Because their favourite player, Messi, Ronaldo, Salah played for those countries.

Youngsters experience football in a different way than we did. It's all via media, not the actual physical attendance of a game.
