Agree with this post. I can now envisage there will be no further reviews of Susan or any other independent massage provider who is deemed as vulnerable. It's the SP responsibility to manage their own discretion and to be aware of the review sites that will expose their services. This site is about punting reviews not thinking about protecting the service providers
I agree with you shed, and where it's within their control, such as on AW, totally with you.
But Google is totally off-piste like that - if you wanted to set up a parlour on Google Maps at my address, a) there's nothing to stop you, b) Google are random at doing anything about it, c) when they do, it can take months, and d) I could not do anything about it myself that would immediately remove it.
Basically, any old anonymous twat can create a business's information, anywhere they like, and put any review they like out about it, and there is nothing you or I can do about it. Google just ride roughshod over individual rights and don't respect privacy in this regard. Don't want your house on Google Maps with your car parked outside? Tough shit, it's going on there. That's how they operate - with total impunity and with next to zero editorial control, unless they are likely to get sued for it. Good example - my local tip still has 40+ entries from 2020 from people asking what days they can drive their car onto the site. I've tried to remove and edit them numerous times.
Do Google care? No. Even though it's totally irrelevant now.
I suspect in this case the SP may have created the Google Maps link, but in practice, anyone could have.
Either way, she has no control over what some tool writes about her, and Google are unlikely to remove it.
