I suppose that is the nature of these businesses. In most Chinese establishments, the ladies rotate every 2 weeks or so. There is therefore a likely chance to see the lady you like by just calling and check if she is on rota.

I was surprised with the "next time" thingy as I only seem to see this in Thai places ( after many visits and lots of dosh spent ) but at Chinese establishments the ladies are more relaxed and provide much more even on first visit. Maybe I should learn to be more suave at my next visit.

No chance that happening Ive text a few times to ask who's working after seeing a review. They just say what time you want and do everything to not answer your question for some reason.

I've seen this " next time more" strategy from some visiting Chinese masseuses, I guess to try and get 2 or 3 visits out of one customer in the space of a 1 or 2 week stay. Return visits with increasing tips from a proportion of customers will make the stay more worthwhile.
I'm sure the masseuses think about this Nd probably discuss it on their WeChat groups. It's this variation and independence of approach that makes me comfortable in visiting the Chinese shops where it's the masseuses who are really in charge, unlike flats where lack of choice is more possible.
