Personally I can see both sides of this argument.
Ella love you may be the most honest and trusworthy WG in the business for all we know but whether you like it or not you are working in an industry that attracts many skanks, crooks and fraudsters. That is just the reality many of us punters have to navigate on a regular basis.
So for a fellow punter to advise another that it is unwise to use their card to pay a WG is just sound advice.
That doesnt mean anyone is accusing you personally of being dishonest just that it is generally good practise to not do this. Cash payment actually protects us all.
For the punter it offers anonymity as it cannot be traced back as easily as a card payment which could be an issue for some that have suspicious girlfriends or wives at home. It also protects the punter from the more serious issue of having their card details hijacked and there are scammers out there that are daily trying to find new and inventive ways of doing this. So yes, with the high prevalance of crooks and scammers in this industry thats a very real possibility.
A punter paying you in cash rather than card also protects you. Imagine if a punter came to you, paid by card and then a few days later some suspicious withdrawals happened on their account. Who do you think they are most likely to think was responsible? Even if you were totally innocent. If you had been paid in cash then there is no potential for that to come back on you.
Did you react emotionally and aggressively to what you saw here as a slur on your name which there really wasnt - yes.
However you did apologise for the whole defamation/legal angle you took so thats kudos to you.
Was the pile on by some of the other posters here a bit over the top and aggressive. Yes.
Not sure what all the mixed race bollocks was about or why whether she's good at spelling english was relevant.
Guys (and girl) I think there was a way of having this discussion without it having ended up in a slanging match.
Anyway thats just my ten pen'orth. Peace. Out.
