Author Topic: Paying a deposit before the meet  (Read 6198 times)

Have paid £20 and £50 deposits to girls before all English and with over 100 feedback. Didn’t bother me at all. In London £20 is nothing.  one even had a business account. Don’t feel they would have anything to gain by scamming all of them were first time meets. Was told if I booked again could just text the next time now we were well acquainted.

It depends who you are seeing I wouldn’t pay one to a rom or Brazilian’s pimp.

Also think it’s fair if your asking someone to travel to you for outcall to cover the taxi. Otherwise nut jobs probably send these women all over town for a laugh. How would they tell your genuine if you didn’t pay their taxi to you?

The first two paragraphs apply.

I wouldnt pay extra taxi fare.

If its an outcall usually you alsp get a relaxed meet which is better.

I would avoid taxi or uber as your name is then given making shit less discreet

Discretion is paramount even with or without a deposit

Would you pay before visiting MCDONALD'S?

Would you actually visit a McDonald's?    :D

Of course. Always check out the location of the nearest McD to an incall punt. Useful for the toilets, and they often have seating outside for loitering. Never actually give them any money.

the McDonald's near me had a code on the door to stop the homeless people using it no joke you have to buy something and on the receipt it has the code and then you can finally use the toilets.

So what about WGs which say stuff like bookings over X length or distance require a deposit.
To me that makes perfect sense.
Plumbers, sparkles ect will happily come round and wire up a light or some fault finding and invoice. But ask them to rewire a house or to replace the whole heating system and most will ask for something upfront.

I'm in the 'no way' camp for the simple reason: POF.  There really are Plenty of Fish in the escort ocean.  So there is simply no need.

I did once pay a deposit.  It was for a Swingers and Sinners party.  Because I wanted to go to that party on that day and so POF did not apply.  But they had enough reviews on this site that I was not worried.  It was easy and they took the deposit off the fee so it worked out.

A swingers party is pretty different. I’ve never come across any swinger scammers but I’m not familiar with the one you mention and what it was like.

Tbh I’m surprised there are so many posts on the topic. I can just about imagine it in very exceptional circumstances if she clearly has to travel a long distance and is well-reviewed: but if it became common it’s far too easy a grift for scammers. Sets a very bad precedent.

Some will ask for your photo as well. All sorts of paranoid or OTT stuff that defaults as an assumption that the punter is psycho. A professional never does. She communicates, evaluates, and makes a decision.

Why do people keep asking this question?

It's been covered many times before. You're either will to pay a deposit or you're not. If you're not then you  better go find another SP that doesn't require a deposit. There's no point bitching about it.

Without prejudice

I think the argument is there are always new members who maybe dont plough through old threads. Plus it is healthy to review old topics especially as things can change over time.

Rehashing old topics is probably true for most subjects involving punting. Always has been, always will.

Just my two cents  :hi:

There's a finite number of topics relating to punting and they all reappear on the forum from time to time. As has been said things change over time, new members join and as the fact we've had in excess of 10 threads started about OnlyFans shows most people don't know how to or don't think to search for a topic before posting.

What I can never understand is why people come onto a thread that doesn't interest them just to complain about the topic in that thread.  :unknown:

There was a WG I wanted to see who asked for a deposit, it was on her profile. I wrote a polite email explaining why I would not send a deposit but that I would like to meet her. She agreed and I have seen her several times.

Sometimes rather than reacting against these things if you are polite it can work wonders.

They might come on a thread out of a general interest in punting and a desire to steer people away from trouble. Several posts on the thread seemed to me to be ‘normalising’ deposit-taking, almost as if the chance of being scammed was small.

I suggest people who have not been on UKP for more than two or three years type the word “deposit” into the search box and read the numerous horror stories. If they still want to go ahead it’s up to them.
