IMO, the first Rambo film First Blood is an excellent movie, Brian Dennehy as the sheriff is great in it, cant say I rate the others but I don't rate the Rocky films that much either.

Yes that's another good Euston Films production and was often on location in the Herts area, problem with ITV4 is they really hack The Professionals, The Sweeney and Minder and the editing is atrocious, I have all on dvd. Martin Shaw got it blocked from being shown for years as he really hates his hair in it.

How/why do they hack them? I do hope it's not to sanitise them for modern audiences.

Quite a lot is missing for benign reasons. There's a shit softcore film called Tiffany Jones; actress anouska hempel bought the rights and now you can't see it because she is naked in it. Or small potatoes the Tommy Tiernan sitcom because he didn't think it was good.

Fuck knows why Looking for Mr Goodbar is unavailable. I keep hearing music rights but I don't buy it given loads of films from the 70s with more music are available. Even porn film Waterpower which has uncleared samples from Death Wish.

There's a really good film nobody talks about Paradise Alley were Stallone is a wrestler. It's a bit corny, but I enjoyed it.

The one that's set in Myanmar is also excellent. A mate of mine whose in the forces reckons it's s the most realistic representation of injuries sustained in battle.

ITV4 edit them so they can fit in endless ad breaks, plus their is violence in some episodes which they cut out, that's fine before 9pm but they still do so after 9pm as they presumably cant be bothered to show them uncut.
