Author Topic: Increase in bank transfer requests  (Read 1091 times)

Offline Oracle17

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed an increase in the number of SP's asking for payment via bank transfer or PayPal, or at least saying that's their preferred method of payment?

I find that very off-putting and always want to use cash. Really wanted to see Czech Sandy but was put off by the mention of bank transfers and PayPal.

Does anyone know if thats just a generic line that people include in their profiles, or if they genuinely prefer electronic payment rather than cash because of covid and has anyone experienced any scenario where an SP has honestly refused cash?

Thanks

I haven't noticed it and I would prefer to stick to cash.

However, the commercial world is moving on.  SPs like the rest of us probably find it thard to get to a bank to pay in cash but have a lot of expenses that require online payments.

I'll be sticking to cash only. Not keen on linking my bank account to a string of WGs...

Just say no and offer cash. If they say no, then find another SP.

It’s becoming more common certainly but I’ve never had cash turned down.

Interesting a massage provider stopped accepting bank transfers as she was trying to claim assistance from the government during lockdown even though she was working as normal.

They can also get your real details via this method. Unless you have a burner bank account its not advisable. And for those of us who have joint accounts explain that one to the other half.

Asking for trouble imo and I'm slightly surprised as this means the SPs income could be easily checked by HMRC.

I’d imagine it’s to do with suspicions being raised at the bank. How many times can someone pay thousands of pounds cash into a bank account week after week before questions start being asked.

I recently sold a car and paid a few grand into the bank and had to answer questions about where it came from.

That's should not be a problem for a cash based business though.

I don't think HMRC can't routinely check peoples bank accounts - they have to suspect a crime or tax evasion. I agree its asking for trouble though - I always pay cash.

It's not just that, I suspect a lot of them spent the cash instead of paying it in. Supermarket trip here, petrol there, etc etc.
I imagine with most shops trying to avoid handling cash they've spent a year now building up bundles of cash and have had enough!

With payee name verification isn’t the SP taking a bit of a risk outing her identity.

I think PayPal allows a degree of separation. You can also get a separate credit card.
Personally I'll stick to cash.  As I said I've not noticed this but I haven't been playing much

Thanks guys. Really appreciate all your contributions. I'm going to stick to cash and if I ever see a profile that I really like but it states bank transfer or PayPal only, then I'll have to ask the question about cash or grudgingly take my business elsewhere.

Burner phone is easy because handsets and SIM cards are so cheap but I'm not setting up a new bank account to help me get noshed off one in a while

Paypal will also out you 🙄

In addition an SP would have to be crazy to use PayPal. They will close your account and keep your money if you're suspected of using their service for anything to do with the erotic industry.

Paypal really are a bunch of shitheads, so it would be best to minimise exposure to them.

If the bank starts getting suspicious, i'm sure the WG can offer the bank manager a 'sweetener ' to show how she gets the money :D

They don't routinely check but they can ask to see statements.

Never seen it, but you can pick up prepaid cards or use a dummy Googlepay account

Offline vindici

If anyone knows where you can buy a prepaid visa/mc please share. You used to be able to get them from boots, but they've stopped for a while now.

Just checked, and while they are prepaid, none of them are anonymous in the way you could buy a visa/mc with cash at Boots 😕
