Don’t let this experience put you off. You will learn from it. You have already said the profile looked dodgy. I don’t think she is a scammer, she just accepts your deposit and then says there was a mix up. Look at the AW review on 18/02/2020
From my view - green light on but no mobile, Austrian, only £10 more for a one hour outcall.
Just use this site and you will be fine going forward.
@youngpunter really knows his stuff and he is my guiding light
^^^ This, Rudolph's and YoungPunter's is good advice.
Thanks for your review DrumFab, it takes some doing to publicly admit you were ripped off, especially for your first review, and no one likes to be on the end of that. But you've saved others the possibility, so consider it a public service you've given, for which all of us are grateful - thank you. Equally, sorry you were messed around, it happens to us all at some point, so don't take it personally or as a reflection on yourself. These things occur rarely, as most of us learn from the single time it happens never to repeat it again.

The only thing you did that was "wrong" was to pay a deposit, no one does it and no SP is worth that risk, especially one that you've never met with dodgy profile flags.
Going forward, just move on and look at it philosophically: £40 for a life long learning lesson is dirt cheap, and you won't get ripped off that way again.
I know (presumably) older, wise people who have got scammed for thousands, who you'd think would know better than to fall for a con, so in perspective, you got yourself a bargain for £40 ! Consider it an investment in your education. If in doubt, say no, and always trust your intuition on these things, you're usually right. Just stand back from it and walk when alarm bells ring, there's plenty of choices out there.
