Ibis in Birmingham is open and you do not need to enter the hotel itself - paid parking in street and walk through car park to room.

You need to enter the hotel to get the key card I think the OP is looking for a apartment/hotel as opposed to visiting one  :hi:

Yes looking to book

It’s easy book online
go to reception  you fill a form in which is like a declaration form tick which box applies to you in regards to what type of key worker you are (just tick anyone)  :D
Get your key card and end off.

Not the best hotel but if your after budget and discretion top marks

Recently booked a staycation apartment, used a letterhead from work stating booked for work purposes. Checked in and came back later with SA date.  :hi:

Is that the one where, in normal times at least, they have a security guard on duty in the evenings to monitor who is entering?

In reply to Petermisc  there is no security guard in daytime.  There are cameras on the hotel site.    The hotel is open so they need to keep booking rooms to make it viable to be open.
