Author Topic: "I don't need to review, because I have nothing to add" - Kind of sick of this..  (Read 2709 times)

Offline vindici

Established members challenging a person to add a review, when a zero review count wonder, comments how they also saw the same SP and had a great/mediocre/terrible time, on a review thread, are invariably met with the classic - "Well I have nothing different to say/My experience was pretty much the same/I don't need to review when I can leave a one line comment on someone else's review/etc."

I for one am getting sick of explaining each time, why it is important to have lot's of perspectives on the same SP, even if the review is very similar, it can show trends of great/mediocre/terrible service etc. etc.

Is there a thread I can refer to with a good explanation, and lot's of supporting comments, that I can link to each time that excuse is trotted out?

If there is not such a thread perhaps we can use this one and I'll be happy to write in more detail, why more reviews are better than one line comments on other member threads.

I agree. Infuriating when you have a member with dozens if not hundreds of posts, but zero reviews, who adds "yeah she was like that when I saw her".

Offline Horseman

Sadly the majority of the time it is just an excuse....a reason to give why they have not reviewed rather than saying the truth "I can't be bothered"

No one should need it explained that 10 positive reviews of a SP are better than 1 with 9 comments.........

Its should be obvious that multiple reviews of the same girl show a trend. Plus just because they were once good doesn't mean they still are (the same applies in reverse!)

For those who are genuine in giving that excuse. Consider this. If you searched for a SP and found she had 1 positive, 1 neutral and 9 negative reviews, would you dig any deeper and find out that the one good review had 99 comments agreeing?

Then consider the same girl with 100 positives, 1 neutral and 9 negatives.....

I don't think its laziness as they are hanging around on the forum. I smell BS most of the time unless their visit is outside of the period to write a review.

I think sometimes it dosnt help, when new members join, and there only intention is to troll the forum, and cause trouble

Existing members like my self, yes might ask the new member, are you going to post a review of the escort you have seen recently.  And some of the new members have talked about who  they have seen, and someone else has asked, would you like to share your experience, and there answer was no

Now these new member, begin to ask details of other escort, which other members have seen, and expect us to share, one or two in the end just lose the plot, which I think wasn't needed, and they end up being banned.  If they kept them self's calm, good chance they would still be here and contributing

Then you have reviews from new members, which might be questionable, did the booking happen, or does the op have something against the escort

I had posted around 3 reviews of the same escort, over a period of 18 months, and another member thought, dont need any more reviews of her, but each booking had its own merit

Offline shagmore

Every experience is different, as mentioned previously you do need different perspectives, things are never going to be the same, if they where why would you go back, you want something different, better. And if you have seen a WG on numerous occasions, she will, in MHO give you that little bit more attention as she knows you are a regular
So come on, give a review, even if its just to say that the WG still does look like the photo and has not blimped out

Offline pythondan

I called out a poster who has been a member for over five years, has never reviewed, normally only posts to request info on girls but has done exactly what the OP here describes by commenting on his experiences with girls reviewed by another member - see thread below.

https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=295627.0

Another member called me "an obnxious, judgemental arsehole" for doing this.

I responded by directing him to the forum rules without resorting to insults.

I know that the mods do crack down on leeches when they can but maybe  some form of automation could be implemented to assist with this? Maybe a script that does something along the lines of temporarily suspending members who have gone two years without reviewing and if they do not review within say six months of the temporary ban be lifted permanently banning them.

Offline Stevelondon

I agree wholeheartedly with what’s been mentioned above. Especially if a member has been on here for quite some time without reviewing.
This is an incredible resource and I want to contribute in some small way too.
I’ve punted for a number of years but sadly it’s been so long ago since my last one. I can’t post about it.
The way things are going, it looks like it might be a few more months before I dip my toes in the punting pond again.
So I apologise for that.

But yes, I absolutely agree that members should be writing reviews if they are visiting SP’s.

It isn't as straight forward as posting reviews, what about people who can't punt for say medical reasons but make valuable contributions to the site in other ways, do you think they should be banned.   :unknown:

What you suggest would only lead to a load of pointless, repeat and or fake reviews to stop people being banned and that is most certainly not what the site is about.

In a case like you have mentioned above, report it and one of the mods will deal with it. We can only act on things we are aware of and we can't read every post.

A previous short thread on the topic.  But all agreed reviews are better than comments, and all reviews add value.

When I first started using this site I made the mistake of posting reviews of same girls a few times but fairly close to each other, now I’m aware only post a new review if there’s a change in the meeting wether it’s good/bad or neutral and then I know it helps others too,but yea it is frustrating when new posters make comments like “oh I’ve seen her” etc.

Technical solution and I'd guess already on the list to do?

Remove the ability to comment on a Review.

On  a previous punting forum, this was exactly the case, a review was just a review, and you had a forum, where you comment, just like here

How do you call out the dodgy one's. Removing the ability to comment would turn the place into a free for all for pimps and dodgy escorts. It would end up going the way of other sites, not what we want here.

That separation rendered the site impossible to really use

I would have thought that the only reason a Forum would do this is if it was funded by Pimps and SP’s that would benefit from touts posting.

1000's of new members since membership was relaxed. I don't envy the work that the moderators have to do to go through every post to weed out the trolls, leeches and previously banned members. They have the same ambitions as the majority of the members which is seeking the best experience out there.
I have never seen a mod complaining about members reporting others for lack of effort. Why we have the option to "report to moderator" on posts if we believe there is a concern.
I agree with Vindici and it is frustrating. There is a lot of "noise" on a lot of the threads and I am sure I have missed a lot of useful information because of the attention seeking.
One thing I have learnt from this site is that if the offenders stick their head over the parapet too many times it will be shot off.

I understand what you are saying but surely the most relevant thing any member can add is by leaving a review, whatever the rating.

No two reviews are exactly the same. There are bits of information that may be included in one review and missed out in another. Especially where the SP's move around. Sometimes information about the location alone will cause me to re-think my options.

Once we are all punting again, please consider falling into 'that' category.  That is a category of helpful forum contributors.   You seem to worry about being part of a problem we don't have.  If you have a punt (or an agreed booking) in the time frame, and you have contact details for the escort, then please post a review.

I am probably in the minority with this thought but it doesn't bother me. The new people that join that want to contribute will contribute and don't particularly need prompting.

Such is life that there are people that obey rules and people that don't. You only have to look at the current lockdown situation to see that.

Maybe I am taking a lenient stance because this is my 2nd account on here as I had one but forgot the password to it before I could start posting reviews lol.

If the people in charge are okay with it, I am okay with it too.

The rules are very clear, members are expected to contribute by way of reviews and posting that it's OK not to is detrimental to the ethos of the site.

Offline SeriousLee

I probably worded myself poorly but I accept the fact that not 100% will contribute with reviews. In an ideal situation, that wouldn't be the case. There will be leechers who have no interest and say that they will post a review and never end up doing it.

I just think some people are a little too quick to ask someone to post a review at times and throw all the non-contributors into the leecher pile.

There's nothing wrong with one member asking another to post a review or being critical because they haven't, especially when they post on a negative review that they had a bad experience months before and a review by them then could've saved someone money.

Yeah, I agree with that. I would find it infuriating too if someone had an extremely bad situation with an escort and wrote a review about it months later or worse, didn't even a post review and attached a post onto someone's review. Both negative and positive reviews save money in different ways.

I'm just being a tad overly lenient because I'm newish here but I do agree with other people's sentiments regarding the need to post reviews

FFS you don't get it do you.   :dash:

1 Site ethos / mission
This Forum puts the interests of Punters first through the sharing of Reviews[. The Forum does not endorse or promote any service provider or any other site. This site is totally independent. No favoritism, no special treatment, no vested interests and no pandering to service providers. Members are expected to post Reviews although there is no formal quota (see rule 27). General chat relating to Punting is allowed on the appropriate Board.

27 Lurking / Dormant Accounts
Members that do not contribute Reviews or where their accounts become dormant may have their membership revoked.

It's in the rules you should try reading them, there's a link at the bottom of every page.

It has nothing to do with you what comments other people make regarding leeches, there is an admin and mod team who deal with that.

Those that make excuses not to review are lazy cunts or couldn't care less in my 10 years of observing UKP. An excuse I see a bit is I haven't got the time, what a pile of crap, a review doesn't have to take more than a few minutes to do.

And of course the usual, seeing some punter post on another punters negative review thread that he had the same bad service off the WG recently. So why didn't you post a review which may of saved this reviewer a bad punt.

WTF, this is one of the worse suggestions I have ever seen on UKP. Doing that would be a huge step backwards to the big punting forum that existed before UKP. Reviewers need to be able to be questioned and asked questions in my view. Also why would admin/mods want to break a perfectly good review system that has worked very well for over 10 years.

Why you imagine its on the to do list shows you haven't a clue.

Your reasoning goes against the ethos of UKP, if you do a review its YOUR experience of the WG not someones elses and as such is very handy to get. To say well she has been well reviewed already so why bother misses the whole point in my opinion.

My advice is forget about thoughts of replicating reviews on the same WG, they would of been done by someone else not you. Its your review that is needed. IMO as long as genuine the more reviews the better, a WG cant have enough reviews.

I shop in the bargain basement, paying between £60 to £130 for half or an hour at most for a full service. Or up to ££85 for a massage, with B2B for an hour. That's a lot of money for me. I depend on reviews as I can't afford to waste that money. I joined this site to get honest reviews. The more reviews there are on a prostitute, the greater the probability, that I can make the right decision on who to book. Ten positives and one negatives and two neutrals give me enough material to read and make a judgement. how a pattern. But if most punters can't be arsed to review, I can't make a sensible choice and I might blow my hard earned cash
I've not been on here much as I've not seen any girls for ages. But once I'm vaccinated my reviews will start again

Exactly and the same applies to more expensive punts as well.
