If you hear a male voice while waiting in the room? WWYD?

I've heard of several stories where after being let in, either before or after paying, a male appears. This seems to always end with robbery of the punter, such as in this case. So, if you hear a male voice while waiting in the room, do you think it's best to lock the bedroom door (if possible) and to call the police to that address immediately? What would you do?

I've been in plenty of punts where I can hear a male voice in the house. In most cases I presume they are there for protection, but either way I have never had a problem, so wouldn't do anything unless obviously they came into the room.

A long gone Chinese shop in Cardiff had an 'Uncle' not an 'Auntie', he was big, shaven head and imposing.

His main role was Receptionist, Cook and Cleaner.  He didn't need to act as Security, he was of a size and the meat cleavers around the kitchen, waiting area provided all the security required.

He was actually the proverbial gentle giant and really good as a Receptionist.

However I would bet the punting bank roll that a lot of Punters walked when he opened the door.

I should have stated the obvious exclusions, like locations with minders, trusted locations, well-reviewed/trusted SPs. So this would just be for those sketchier TOFTT locations. For these, the only thing that I currently do, is that I don't undress until she arrives back after stashing the cash. Someone had recommended this before after a guy showed up in the room in an extortion scam. At least this way, you're not caught with your pants down.

I suppose it will depend on the context, and the feel of the situation. But I'm not always good at thinking on the fly, so it helps to have some potential strategies in place. This was the context I was thinking of: "While I waited in the bedroom I heard the front door open and a conversation took place between Natasha and a male. At this point I knew I was probably in deep shit. I tried to leave but was barred from doing so by a burly black guy."

I'd ride it out and see what happens.  If I'm going to a provider I've not seen before I won't have any ID on me and will only be carrying an extra £10 other than the cost of the punt, so there's not much to get robbed (my punting phone is so basic it's not worth nicking).

Remember the old cowboy adage: always sleep with your boots on. And make sure you know if there's a drainpipe outside the window if you're above the ground floor  .

Most pimps are in my experience men. A lot of Chinese and Asian providers have a bodyguard. In my long punting life  I've rarely had any problems these people don't usually want trouble.

I think the OP isnt talking about guys that you know about beforehand which obviously wouldnt be a problem. The only time I had an actual problem I had no warning of it. Guy just came into the room. He actually wasnt very tough looking and for a moment I thought should I take the cheeky bastard but I just handed over the cash and left. I think I made the right decision, there are so many potential complications with any other choice. I see it as just one of the many overheads of punting. Stay safe, shrug it off and move on.

Maybe it was your post that I read about? Although there's been several like this over the past few years. The biggest concern for me is having my safety at the whim of some scumbag. I've also had a lot of punts in seedy locations which add to the risk, although I try to avoid these which also cuts down on the risk.
