Saw a lady I fancied advertising as being in L3. Made a booking and tootled off to hers after putting address in Satnav. I didn't pay much attention, assumed I was heading off to some back street or new build block by the waterfront, probably by Costco, Pall Mall, Old Hall Street or further South along the front near Baltic Fleet or Marina. Basically, I take L3 as more or less hugging the river front for 2 or 3 miles.
Bloody hell, turns out L3 actually bulges inland someway - she was actually in Brownlow Hill area almost by Grove Street. An area I'd swear was very much L7. It therefore became hairy as I was 400yds away from where one of my kids lives. I started panicking about where to leave my motor well out of sight and possibly abandoning the meet but luckily her place was off the beaten track and had discreet gated off-road parking when I got there so I went ahead.
Bit thick of me to be so cavalier about the address location I suppose but fact I was on home turf and thought I knew the terrain meant I wasn't as fastidious as I'd normally be about scoping out the location on Google beforehand. Lesson well and truly learned!
Thought I'd share in case any other chaps thought L3 always equates to in or by the Riverside Apartments, where let's face it, most of them do usually work.
