With Thailand allowing vaxinated brits in from 1st Nov. Where would you go?

The lockdowns in Bangkok and Pattaya are still in place and relaxing at different rates. Reports are that a lot of girls have left the cities. Punting in either location will not be what we enjoyed before COVID.

There seems to be reports of girls and also no girls so as with the BBC things aren't necessarily as reported :)

If the rationale that the girls have left the cities is right then you could probably draw a line from Korat to Udon and do very well in those areas; same for Chiang Mai/Rai.

I have a 'friend' in Chiang Rai who says things are really hard without the tourists right now and she and her friends are using more normal hook-up places - coffee shops, restaurants, markets etc to get what little they can.

Personally, I'd head north where pickings have always been good even before COVID, but my preference is for the normal non-working girls so won't suit everyone.

But for the subject in hand, Pattaya would seem to be the more logical choice given the speed of relaxation of lockdown. Bangkok will have plenty of places hidden away, but there will always be the risk of a police visit which is best avoided.

My tuppence worth.

This is not confirmed. Phase 1 which covers Bangkok and Pattaya is scheduled for Nov 1, "rumour" is curfews will remain, beerbars will open but go-go remain closed. Foreign Embassies have not had confirmation to update their citizens-a worrying sign. The current PM has renewed the SoE nearly 14 times which indicates whatever he plans is only 1% certain. Don't be surprised if Nov turns in July 2022 or Nov goes ahead with a quarantine period of 1,2 or even 7 days. Pattaya was on the decline well before COVID, but that's opinion- just when I see what has closed since April 2020- I remember them as empty or sparse venues!! Wait for Nov 1 to pass and then check news articles a week later-its how things happen in this country.

You will have to have a negative PCR test issued within 72 hours before travelling.
And make a 1 night reservation at a SHA+ or AQ hotel.
And take another PCR test in Thailand on the day you arrive - they say the result should be available within one day.

I use Thai Friendly and had some very good success in the past. Have at least ten ladies to meet with next month, reckon half will be non sexual meets though which doesn't worry me, might develop on a future trip.

A couple are definitely PAYG and are a reasonable cost for longtime and two ladies are just happy with dinner, decent hotel and good sex.

Best of luck with that.

My head hurts trying to sort out the various contradictory information that has been released by the Thai Government.

What I think is the case is that nothing can be done until November 1st when the Thai pass website becomes live! It gives me less than a week to book everything.

Offline Sparky22

Agree - can't commit to this till it's a little more obvious what the state of play will be on the ground.
December def seems a better bet than next month.

BW to all those heading out next month though

A simplified explanation of what is required. So if the Thai Pass website works  then I will be booking Monday afternoon for the following week.

Offline Your Chef

Well I have had a go...

First two sections nice and easy, filling in your personal details and proof of vaccination.

Page 3 though, you have to supply proof of flight, hotel and the single quarantine night before applying. So if declined do you loose all your money and the Thai Government are laughing at collecting easy money?

The quarantine night is very expensive but includes a chauffeur driven car from the airport, the test and your food for 24 hours I think.

So will think carefully today and decide by lunchtime tomorrow. It's a lot of money to loose.

Although Pattaya will re-open to tourists on November 1st and the curfew will end, the restaurants (aka bars) will not be allowed to sell alcohol

People have short memories. I agree entirely that Pattaya was on the decline before Covid. I was last there in Oct'19 and the amount of empty properties even on Soi 6 was quite stark. I am giving Thailand a wide berth for the next 6 months and see how things play out. Even the reopening is a minefield with the first night ASQ and the chance of a Positive Covid test meaning your trip is over even before it starts. Central America, especially Costa Rica is a very good place to meet and mingle with extremely hot latin chicas for a very reasonable cost and it's without the hurdles Thailand has in place just to get into the country!

I've been thinking about Thailand for Xmas but just seems a hassle. I went to Costa Rica 10 years ago and didn't really go for the punting but did go to a place called the beatle bar which was quite a famous place I think. Wouldn't mind returning if its easy to enter now

I managed to submit my ‘registration’ for Thailand pass. According to the final screen which auto reloads the welcome page, I will be contacted by them to confirm the result. I haven’t received any email notification so far therefore I’m not sure it was sent off correctly. The system is pretty old fashioned, yet must be completely new. Pretty bad.

I might just try to submit another tomorrow to see what happens.

And this is exactly why I won't be risking Thailand with a barge pole! Not for the next few months at least whilst the rules keep changing almost daily! This on top of the horror stories of people being forcibly quarantined upon arrival due to being in close proximity to a Covid-19 Positive person on the plane into Bangkok at a cost of £7k if your insurance won't cover it! Thailand! Forget it!!!

Got my thai pass in 3 days. Super easy.

Well I have a flight booked for December 23, a 60 day visa and covid travel insurance and I got the entry pass easily. I thought the quarantine hotel I booked was quite moderate in price - about £90 for PCR test, 3 meals, a car from the airport in a 4 star hotel. Didn't find the regulations difficult at all. There are some explanations of what you need to do. I am really interested in trying the sideline agencies - Fiwifans, Jerkunmai, Sidelinethailand - the girls look amazing. and translating the adverts are half the fun.First time I have been to Thailand since my wife died - so first time doing some punting.

The translations are great:

🔥🔥service🔥🔥
✅ Take a shower for sister ✅ Fresh for you.
✅ Kiss and exchange your girlfriend's tongue. Let me be clean.
✅ can lick your sister ✅ Squeeze the milk and suck it. Please take care of the brothers.
✅ sex cleavage ✅ Thai massage a little ✅ split mouth
✅ Broken face ✅ Get an overnight job 💆🏻‍♂️ got tattoos💆🏻‍♂️

This one clearly hasn't met my sister.

Translation engines doing the usual thing of word rather than idiom translation.

If you happen to be in BKK then EZMassage (Soi 24/1) has always been good for me - unlike the dating sites the girls have always been real photos and the manager advises who is/isn't on good form or other girls available not on the website. Used to be 2 shops, now one. Also clear who is and who isn't a real girl.

Im just hoping the lack of work for the girls will lead to an influx of new talent over here as the Thai scene has declined somewhat.

Bangkok for the 5 nights and then travelling around. Going around Central Thailand for 3 weeks - I am sure I will have fun in Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya and Khorat and a lot of other sorts of fun elsewhere. Then heading to Chiang Mai and Mae Hon Son. Not really interested in Pattaya - it doesn’t appeal - I want lots of sexual adventures but I would rather be somewhere interesting and sometimes challenging. Then going to fly to Hua Hin, go to some of the tiny quiet islands north off Phuket and then finish in Phuket. I am away 60 days so as long as I get 12-20 encounters I will be very happy.

Just back from Thailand, the place is a ghost town as far as punting goes!

Bangkok still closed for sex tourists, Nana and Cowboy both totally dark at the moment.  A couple of ladyboys hanging about in Soi Nana but otherwise nothing around.

Most of the girls appear to have gone back to their homes, and I wouldn't expect to see most of them back until well after the bars are open in mid- January (or whatever date they bring it forward to)

Even on the islands, the beer bars/restaurants are mostly closed, those that are open have a few of the more experienced ladies on duty but nothing that caught the eye.

I can confirm loveahe's observations that Nana and Cowboy are dead, and that the general bar scene is likewise quite muted. Also the pickings are slim for FL outside Nana and Thermae. That said, there is still plenty of fun to be had, just not the usual Bangkok nightlife party scene!

Agreed. Just back from Bangkok myself.

If you need gogo dancing and club parties then it's dead. But there are beer bars at soi 7, all oily massages/Japanese soapies are still open. If you are willing to do some google translate, then plenty of sidelines to be had in various hotel locations.

I have been in Thailand nearly 6 weeks with another 4 to go. I have just returned to Bangkok after 2 weeks doing the Chiang Mai - Pai - Mae Hong Song - Lampang route. Bangkok is transformed from 2 weeks ago. So many freelancers now, and the bars are all open . I think there is a return to a bit of normality
