Had a bit of a scare last week.
Call from a unknown number on my punting phone, answered it out of interest and the guy on the end of the line asked if it was me and was I on loudspeaker and if not was I able to talk privately?
He then went on to inform me that he was from a sexual health clinic in Worcester and that my number had been passed on as I had been in contact with someone that had tested positive for a STD.
He was very helpful asked my rough location then went on to give me the location and numbers of my two closest clinics and told me no sex until tested (he also said that the std was easily treatable with antibiotics)
Now I have had no symptoms and have always used protection but I did panic a bit.
Upshot is though I was second in line at a walk clinic Monday 8am, seen and tested by 10.15am and negative results texted to me Wednesday.
Having seen escorts on and off for 10 years I really should have been tested before but worried about the process and confidentiality.
So if any of you guys are in the same situation, ie should get tested but worry, then feel free to drop a reply and I'll answer any questions.
Cheers

Ok, that is strange! The most obvious question would be who have you punted recently? I'm sure everyone here would like to know in case they have seen the same SP's as you.

Not strange at all. I believe this to be common practice and very
responsible of the SP who has informed the clinic of the guys that she seen recently.

Has for the OP listing the girls that he has seen recently then that shouldn't happen.

That wouldn't be allowed.

Must admit I wasn't sure of the rules but it didn't feel right naming a number of girls and linking then with STD's

Many years ago (over 40) I had a discharge a couple of days after having had sex with a new girlfriend.  I went to a walk-in STD clinic and was tested and found to have gonorrhoea.  I was given several different tablets to take immediately and also several cards advising the recipient to visit an STD clinic (it was pre-mobile phone days) to pass on to any sexual partners I'd been with.  I obviously gave one to the (now) ex and she then visited a clinic and was checked out and received the similar treatment to me.  She was also given cards to pass on etc etc.

As far as I was concerned that was the end of it.  I was cured and had no further symptoms after a couple of days.

Sensible procedure by the NHS.

None of us want to be caught out but it was killed in the bud (from my point of view).

Ok I wasn't aware that naming the possible service providers wasn't allowed but it makes sense now that I think about it.

As for it not being strange and it being 'very responsible' of the SP, I have to respectfully disagree. I know most of us on here use punting phones, but I still would be concerned to know that a SP had saved my number. The only time this IMO would be acceptable would be if it was a SP who you've seen often/regularly. Even in that case, I'd want to hear it from the horses mouth, not from a cold call from the GUM clinic!

Why? She ain’t your girlfriend!
If you had a one night stand then more than likely the Gum clinic would call.
If she was a reg, or your girlfriend then I also would prefer the reg/partner to call rather than the Gum clinic. They are doing the right thing before you spread the infection to others.

Another example of why to use a punting phone, and I believe most WG with good Comms store phone numbers with either your AW name or something memorable, especially if you have made a booking but equally could be stored as timewaster if you don’t. Easier to store numbers on the phone rather than on slips of paper. She needs it to give you the flat number otherwise you will be slagging her off for bad comms. Take it up with GDPR if you don’t like it.

GDPR

As I said, it's just my opinion. Still don't see why a number should be saved by the SP unless it's a regular though. Also, not sure what type of one night stands you've had but I've never exchanged numbers after one..........maybe the beer goggles had worn off or it wasn't that memorable for either of us the morning after
