Dearest Readers,

I had been dying to meet BritishBritney for some time now. She ticked my boxes. However, something always got in the way when trying to meet her. She would be busy or I couldn't make the punt, due to work commitments. If it was my fault I would always apologise or tell her that I understood the situation and wish her well. Once we arranged a meet and she cancelled it at the last minute, stating her child was sick and had to go. I was parked at the postcode given, waiting for the "all clear" when that text came through.

Yesterday evening I booked a 30 minute lunchtime meet for today at 12.45pm. She asked me to reconfirm before 12.15pm, which I did. However she then followed up with a subsequent text telling me of a change of venue, that we wouldn't be meeting at her usual place of business, but rather a hotel. I said OK, checked the hotel directions and setnoff. However on my way I witnessed a car crash with the car in front of me, which delayed my punt, as I had to wait for the police and give a witness statement. When I text her to tell her that I couldn't make it due to an emergency, she stated "I expected you would say that".

She is off the menu because her attitude fucking stinks.

I’m struggling a bit on this one. If you had said no to the change of venue I can understand the negative. But you agreed and then subsequently it was your fault the punt didn’t go ahead. Not really her fault this time.

Time to move on mi thinks and find another punt.

Given the number of time wasters these WGs have to deal with, in her mind it would be “here we go again”. You have to admit (and I’m not disputing the truth of your narrative), it sounds like a ‘dog ate my homework’ story and she’d be pissed off if she had booked and paid for a hotel.

It just pissed me off that I was always courteous with her when she gave me her excuses in the past and even when she changed the venue at the last minute, with me willing to still meet her and pay the additional hotel parking fee, she wouldn't give me the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she does have a lot of punters who mess her around, but that's no justification to tar everyone with the same brush. Shit happens. Her sarcasm at the end was just unnecessary and it felt like she was expecting me to mess her around. That wouldn't have set a good tone if I did meet her in the future.

In any case, NJ was right. Plenty more fish in the sea.

The first instance where you were parked up and then got her ‘dog ate my homework’ excuse is definitely worth the negative. So it is deserved

Just received the following text message:

"Hi.... just wanted to thank you for the terrible punterlink review u posted. Please be assured that the security measures we take ie photograph evidence of clients and there cars/numberplates wont be used against u even after ur terrible choice of action. Id kindly suggest that that report be deleted in the next 24 hours. Id hate for it to become an issue for you."

As this is the only negative review I have left here in months, I can assume it was sent as a response to this review.

Thanks for posting this DOM, this is the prossie shooting herself in the foot as far as many members will be concerned. Photographing clients and cars is a huge NO and breach of discretion. The fact that she’s also made a veiled threat is doubling the reason to avoid this prossie completely IMO.

I hadn’t written her off based on your review but I have now!!!

As you didn’t make the meeting I can’t see how she actually does have any photographic evidence. I do hope you use a punting phone.

'Pay as you blow' punting phone and punting name used, so difficult to be able to track me. Also number blacklisted from text message and phone list. Not in a relationship and no skeletons in the closet so she cannot blackmail me.

I also forgot to mention that my punting name was used as the salutation in the text message, so I know it was someone I met or booked for a meeting.

Thank you for your consideration NJ. If I read this from someone else, I would question things as well.

For the record, I've only ever done 3 reviews on UKP (as can be see in my activity) and the previous one was a neutral and done some weeks ago. It was the period of time when I did this review and the message I got this morning that seemed timely. I'm not the kind of person who enjoys giving bad reviews easily, as whatever is written can affect someone's livelihood. I was willing to walk away, but I don't being threatened and I don't want anyone else being in that same position. It's not why I joined UKP.

god only knows what goes through their brains - read the first part and thought fair enough, one of those things - her response was ok and kind of thought it doesn't really warrant a negative review - then this !!! of course its probably bollocks, but if theres the slightest chance they do take photos etc then most of us will not ever consider booking her... talk about biting the hand that feeds you
