Guys, this is a complex subject (morality/risk) and one which is rather clearly emotive. All parties are entitled to their opinion and it’s to each persons judgement as to how they would approach the situation. What is certain is that Charlie’s warning has helped us be forearmed. I suspect many who are so will not book this WG going forward until she finds a better place to operate from.

However, consider this...

If the WG is using a family’s house as a place of operation and ‘feeding the family’ (as one poster put it) then this could be depriving them of an important source of income.

I’m not saying it is right; just the argument is very complex.

I am late to this thread but I cannot see why the reaction against a child being in the house whilst the mother/aunt whatever is earning a living.  Of course there are a range of circumstances and at some ends it would be as terrible as some suggest. However here the child was with adult family members at all times and probably had no idea what was actually happening.

There is an implication that punters are inherently dangerous and she was at risk from one of us. Well that is true in the extreme fron any group, including her own family, and so long as not being left alone with punters again I fail to see the issue here.

If she was a self employed tailor with blokes coming in for suit fittings would we still be thinking of reporting her to social services?

Surprisingly some people on here seem to have a hang up because sex is going on in the house.  I have heard that there are marriages where there are kids and the parents still have sex, although that might just be a rumour!

I see one British girl in Nottingham where her sister and a noisy parrot are often in the flat, perhaps better report them to the RSPB.

Could you imagine if the child was trafficked had signs of abuse and you’d been traced to visiting while she was there. It would be a right pain in the arse pickle to get out of, even when totally innocent.

I agree with the general point that it is better if nobody else on the premises.

Having been threatened by a six foot man who said he was the pissed off husband I just don’t necessarily see a young child as the greatest clear and present danger. 

The main point is not the risk to us, that is always there to an extent and increased with others present, it was the implication that the child itself is automatically being put at risk by being there.
