I have experience from another 'closed' industry from back in the day; where many 'book' shops were owned by one top man, but managed by many others, sharing the same name.  No manager would ever admit to not being the owner, even to the council or cops.  Not saying this is the case here of course, but seems convenient to also be doing things the same way to avoid long term issues.
