I see there was substnatial (and predictably moralistic) coverage in todays Mail about the outcomes of the court case. Thanks to the Mail for letting me know they are still trading from the same address under a new name.

I believe 50 shades has no connection with the previous owners (I mean it would have been dumb as fuck to start up again while their case was going through the legal system).
Problem is that the girls have all scattered everywhere so the collective that made the place the punting capital of the NW is no longer there, always seems quiet in reception compared to how it used to be

I was going to the Georgian in Oldham a good while back, and I saw the cops go in.
Walked around the block a few times until they left, went in, asked what the fuss was about and they just said that they were chasing someone and thought he may be in there - and it was business as usual, as it was when it opened in the mid 70`s.
Must have been serious, the helicopter was out and Oldham was crawling with cops and cop cars all over the place.

It`s similar to Sandy`s in a way, been going for years, well run, registered at companies house, pays tax,, out of sight and discreet, the police turn a blind eye and the council collect business rates from them.
They even have a S.I.A registered bouncer inside at the weekends to stop the drunks trying to get a punt.
