I'm sure lots of UKP contributors are like me and enjoy following their punt with a contemplative, celebratory or restorative drink in a nearby boozer. Or perhaps some of you rush to the nearest available licensed WiFi hotspot to post a UKP review. If I happen to be early for a punt, I love finding somewhere pleasant to relax with a drink and look forward to the highlight of the day.

So I propose a UKP topic to serve as a Good Pub Guide for London punters. Here are a few suggestions to start the ball rolling:

The Suttons Arms (EC1M 6EB) is a nice boozer near the Barbican that is very handy if you are seeing Sanji.

The Bow Bells (E3 3AA) is a classic East End boozer that's very handy for BustyInBow (or Cacey Curves as she once was).

The Hour Glass (SW3 2DY) is good on a summer evening and is just round the corner from Crystal.Lady's venue in South Kensington.

If anyone thinks this is a daft proposal or has any other comments about it, then I look forward to hearing from you. If you'd like to join in with your own suggestions, then fire away!

Cheers!

I stopped for a pint and a pork pie in the beer house in paddington station more than once after visits to the sadly departed adelle when she was based near there. Decent beer and pie and reasonable prices. They seem to be in a few stations now.

Sank a few pints in there over the years, either to cool down after a visit to Isabella's little back room or to get ready for a visit to Chinatown with pals and leaving them there.

The pub next to Athree on Goswell Road (I usually need to wind down and think 'Why?') has friendly staff and attractive clientel.  It also seems to be a preferred haunt of blokes on their own with phones like us.

She's not on AW anymore. I sent her a text to see if she was still working and never got a reply.
